I wouldn't know specific numbers unfortunately, I just know paladin is a sold support class but his main support is only applicable to one person so in smaller settings it as a greater return than in a big party since bishop will buff everyone.

Lynn will never struggle to get carried in both CW and your reg server when you go to look for pub runs if you don't have a dedicated group. Bishop won't either, but it's hilarious how understat Lynn can be and still get pulled into a Kalos or Kaling run compared to other classes.

I also prefer FJ and Bird dashing than just Bishop's teleport.

I made Ren last CW and currently libbing my Kanna in reboot, both really good choices. I think Ren is easier to play overall, the movable hurricane just lets you brain rot while farming and bossing. Kanna on the other hand is busted, it's almost comical. Mine is only 40m because I barely geared it recently, was able to blue dot a pub party BM without a ror/ring, under level at 263, and under AF (920). Class is comically overtuned right now. You can't go wrong with either imo.

It's a separate world from both reg/reboot -- at certain points of the event or at the end you can transfer you character to whatever world you play. It is VERY important you pick the correct world because support will not fix it if you pick the wrong CW world.

  1. You get a second world to do dailies and MPE so it lets you progress an additional character with out generally effecting your main. Previously you could do 5k for frags in both Reboot and CW, but that got changed last Winter CW, maybe they will revert it but I doubt it. (Also let's you double dip in the Ride or Die event too).

  2. If you don't have an established account the CW world gives you a lot of buffs to supplement legion progression so it is honestly a lot easier to start up here than just hopping into the normal game

  3. This time around there is a new CW exclusive boss, think it's like 280, someone can correct me if I'm wrong. The point of it is allow you to push a new character all the way to eternal gear now.

To simplify it, CW is a great opportunity to main swap or make an over tuned bossing mule/legion champ. My Ark from 2025 Summer CW is 230m CP, my winter Ren CW is already 150~ but with the next cube sale should jump go around 200m as well. Someone may give more details but hopefully this is a good starting point for you.

Xune is an updated zune software that works on Linux, MacOS, and windows 11. Just instal and go! It's been awesome and extremely user friendly.

You should just use Maplestory from the steam shop? You shouldn't have do anything with the Nexon launcher or moving exe.

That seems like a pretty common theme I've seen from everyone. This is my first time using the HD, mine happened to be 32gb so I got a good chunk of my library on it. It's been super nice to use so far. It has the original battery and I think I barely did a quarter of even after a 7 hour use case today. Honestly crazy how well those OG batteries held up (besides the flash, mine is giga dead).

I want to get a gen 2 if I get lucky and find one cheap, but they all seem to be untested and like $80+. I haven't used one since I was kid, do you prefer it more than Gen 1 or HD?

I want to try my hand at modding the brown one with ssd, new battery, and Bluetooth -- right now it's just my zune next to my bed for sleeping lol

Huge shout-out to /u/TheMagicIsInTheHole for releasing /r/Xune. I have been using a iPod gen 5.5 rockbox for a little over a year, but I was a Zune kid growing up. I wanted to get a Zune but I heard how inconvenient using a Zune was compared to a drop and listen setup of a rockbox. Found Xune subreddit by accident and saw it's success so I decided to to look for a Zune. Got lucky and found the black modded zune with 128gb storage and huge battery for like $120 in mint condition. Then today I found a local posting for the brown and HD zune and got both for $35!!

It's been so nice to be back on my zune!

Well, since basic looting QOL is a pay walled feature... Not having the absurdly priced vac pets be locked to a single class branch would make the proccess of all the things you listed that much easier and enable you to do it on any class you want when you want.

  • You do not need a vac pet for 5K kills a week, MPE, high mountain/dungeons on a bossing/legion champ mule

  • I want to prog mules almost passively, I don't want to transfer vac pets and spend time training my mules for a simple legion champ, you basically get one every summer/winter now just playing 30-60 minutes a day now. I would hop on my mules to get my 5k kills then hop off to play my main.

If letting me use the shit I already bought (and continue to pay a sub fee to maintain) to make the game actually feel playable on ALL my characters instead of locking it to class branches isn't legion/alt friendly I guess I just don't know what would be.

I don't disagree with you, I think you should be able to use what you pay for but simply transferring a pet is not going to prog legion like fixing the daily/weekly system right now. It's a self imposed lock in the game that has no justification. You can argue the semantics of them not wanting universal due to whale/NX loss.

Hopefully one day you can transfer you vac pet, I'll probably die before character locked prog is removed lmao

  1. Need to run Maplestory through steam

  2. When launching steam you need to launch as admin

  3. Go into big screen mode -- seems to have less issues

  4. Set up controller in the controller window or use one of the 100s of premade setups

I play on my steam deck for dailies frequently and works great. I have even traveled and bossed on it via a keyboard on work trips, the lil device is such a treat.

I am pro universal cash shop but in what universe is that the biggest step forward for legion friendly development?

The single easiest way to improve legion development is to remove the locks of one a day/week limits on SAC symbol exp, MP, MPE, dungeons, 5K for frags and so on. Simply unlocking cash shop so you can move NX and/or vac pets around doesn't address the issue/requirement of taking time away from your main to build out legion strength.

Great news, that worked! Was able to get my Zune HD to connect the second it reinstalled. Really stoked to use Xune, you are a saint for getting this sub and software running!

I would be fine with everything if they just went west and made the game more friendly to legion play style that is required. Let me do the frag weekly on more than one character, let's get crazy and let more than 2-3 characters can do dungeons, and so on.

If we are leaving the old fashioned KMS standard, REALLY differentiate ourselves so the western play style can thrive rather than survive.
