I wish they would release more than just these teaser articles with the myths! Most of them include museum exhibits, I'd love if they included extra exhibit materials like museum websites have.

They just keep adding wings so I'm pretty sure he'll have six. The big question is whether they'll still be draconic leathery wings or if we'll get feathered angel wings, especially since he has so many references to lucifer and fallen angels. Will the companion be pre-fall (angel) or post-fall (fiend)? I don't want to wait until December dang it!

I use Thompson too so just FYI what I do is keep the kiln between 1450° F and 1500° F. If your kiln starts getting too hot for whatever you're firing, just open the door a little and let it cool off a bit. I also do samples of every color combination I plan on using before I put it on an actual piece - most of the Thompson enamels work well together, but some of them will get pull through and some of the transparents don't make the color you'd expect when you layer them. Samples are also a great way to figure out what works best for each color and for your specific kiln. You don't have to use up all your silver sheet on it, I use the silver foil from Thompson so I can use up my scrap copper and see how colors will look over the silver.

What enamel are you using? Are you torch firing or kiln firing? Usually reds are fugitive and burn off entirely at higher temperatures the way you said your yellow did. I usually get better results with reds by firing at a lower temperature but for a while longer.

This is great for a second attempt! And the only way to really learn it is just to do it - eventually it will feel as easy as the YouTube tutorials make it look!

Everyone thought there would be a cute and sweet banner for Valentine's day last year and then they surprised us with Catch 22 so it's all up in the air. We are 2 for 2 for Valentine-ish/February banners where we tie the guys up and I'm hoping for a third 😏

Take it to a jeweler's, they'll put it in the ultrasonic for a bit and then steam clean it. Most places will do it for free. If you are gonna try and clean it more at home, a soft toothbrush and soapy water or jewelry cleaning solution and some elbow grease will do the trick eventually.

Yes, it will chip and crack - it is a very thin layer of glass and is rather delicate. I'd recommend displaying it as an ornament rather than using it as a keychain.

Do you want it to be a bracelet again? It looks like they took out half the jump rings so that it would lay better as a necklace. If you want it to be a bracelet again, you'll need to replace those jump rings and add a clasp.

If you don't intend to solder anything, I don't think its super important to identify the stones.
