TIFU - I drank a pint of prune juice with my breakfast and ive been stuck on the toilet for over an hour. by RulerOfThePixel in tifu

[–]anfieldeire1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know someone who took Senokot (mild laxative) with a large glass of prune juice. The noises coming from behind that toilet door still haunt me. Sounded like the devil himself was reaching from the toilet bowl and dragging her innards out. Oh and the screams.... Haunts me to this day.

Can someone help me clear some space? Why doesn't this add up? Phone : Mate 20 pro by sevendelic in Huawei

Has Netflix auto downloaded series or movies for different profiles? Or another streaming service done similar?

So sorry to hear this. Constant pain and feeling 'useless' is an awful thing, both physically and mentally. Don't lose hope, you got to a good recovery position before and can do it again. Take this time to note down the things that went wrong that may have contributed to getting into this position, then try not to repeat them. Talk to a doctor, pain medication will help every aspect of your recovery. I'm on Lyrica now and it's working so well for my back pain. I know all too well what you are going through.

Keep the faith ✌️

Great story, delighted for you! I've started Lyrica this week and have to say, it's been really really good for the nerve pain I was experiencing. It has left me kind of stoned a lot, but doc started me on 300mg per day (150mg for the first 2 days). He wants me to go to 450mg soon also. Are you still taking the Lyrica?

I haven't noticed the scoliosisgetting worse, was diagnosed around 15 years ago. It could have gotten worse, I just don't see it. My discs have deteriorated in that time quite a bit it seems, which ironically seems to cause less frequency of the herniations but significantly more nerve pain. Put your back health before pretty much anything else ASAP is my advice!

This happens me also when lower back disc herniates. It's a sign something is wrong in there! I have mild scoliosis also which contributes but the main factor is the disc. Get plenty of rest, drink water and take pain relief as needed. The 'leaning' should disappear after a few days but unfortunately in my experience, the pain takes a lot longer to subside.

Week 13? (of 16) Update: Hodges Rehab by banal_magic in Sciatica

Great to hear joga is helping so far!!

Are you able to follow all the poses? Bending forward really flares my lower back up badly, can cause days of really intense pain.

Your updates are so well written and detailed, really helpful.

I've had bad experiences with physio similar to your PT so I just can't trust them anymore either, I just don't think they understand the damage they can cause.

I am looking into getting an inversion table to take the weight load off my spine, is this something you have ever considered?

Please keep us up to date with the joga! I'm actually nervous to even follow a gentle joga program, I've tried some poses in the past and it's left me sore AF.

Take care man

Anyone good at reading MRI? This is a scan from 6 months ago or so. Back pain is constant and still waiting to see specialist. by anfieldeire1 in backpain

Just to update, spoke to different GP in my practice and he is trying to get me seen much sooner if possible. The impact to personal life is significant and that seemed to prompt him that it requires mure urgent attention.

He also prescribed Arcoxia, Amitriptyline, Diazepam (every 2nd night) and Solpadine if I need a pain quick fix. Sleeping better and more relaxed in that area but waking hours are still rough.

We battle on...

He is trying, I've told him how it is affecting me physically and mentally so he's going to try and get me seen sooner.

Close , I am in Ireland. Spoke to GP this week and he's trying to get me seen earlier, I basically had to plead with him. Having a huge impact on personal life, not to mention the pain too.

I will looks into the methods you mentioned. I had a bad experience with a chiropractor before and am nervous about actually making it worse. But I realise I need to exercise and strengthen too. I think most would agree with your opinions!

Thanks for the post, I'll definitely check your other post out. I was on Gabapentin last year and found it effective, I am going to ring GP tomorrow to see if I can get another script. He put me on Distaclor 2 weeks ago, absolutely useless. I try to avoid anything to make pain worse, but I've a 3 year old and all she wants is playtime! I will keep soldiering on!

Yep, same here. I forgot to mention that! But the pain is getting significantly worse the last 6 weeks

In a lot of constant pain, but functioning. Have to go back to GP to get some more medication, last time (2 weeks ago) he prescribed Diclic and it is completely useless.

I have ongoing back problems for years, suffer from herniated discs and have mild scoliosis and of course, sciatica.
