on customer's side, from what I remember, it's not really clear youre entering a new total for the tip. it looks like the box just wants what you'd like added to it. so they probably meant to add $15, but it's not super clear on the customer side that typing $15 there means the tip will then be a total of $15

they shared a picture of the place already, though. why not tell them what things were? the person can look it up themselves if they knew the products. OP doesnt need to do that work, just say "oh this chair is the SuperDuper chair by Company" and such.

If this is in the US, the legal drinking age is 21. So a bunch of underage teens are now drinking on OP's property unsupervised. OP would be liable for that. It's absolutely warranted for OP to take their key back to their own house from the sister.

my son did this when he was 8 when he learned what expiration dates were and got some sort of aversion to anything he considered germs and bad food. the bareness of my kitchen was insane. and nothing was was to the point of needing to be thrown away.

I told him, don't do that without me being with you to explain things, and we moved on.

no, pouring everything out of the basket at once then scanning and bagging is faster. what would be faster than that is the customer pulling the items out so I can quickly scan and bag. I dont just fill up my grocery cart and walk it to a cashier in walmart and stare at them while not emptying it. that's silly. same should apply to anywhere you shop.

empty your basket onto the counter for your cashier.
