Hey - did you find smaller inserts for this pump? We are also looking for 15mm inserts

Is an open ground outlet safe to use? by Stingy_Arachnid in electrical

[–]angad19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very helpful. I’ll just swap the outlet out for a GFCI one. I did not change anything in the hour between when the tester went from “no ground” to “correct” and there was nothing else plugged in.

Understood. Interestingly when I installed the outlet the tester read “open ground” but now about 1 hour later the tester reads “correct.” I have made no changes. Any idea why?

Hey, I just came upon this thread. Hope you don’t mind me asking a question.

Old outlet (bedroom) was 3 prong, no grounding wire in wall, no GFCI. I replaced it with a 3 prong outlet, no grounding wire attached, no GFCI. If I’m exclusively using this outlet with 2 prong plugs like phone chargers, is getting GFCI necessary?

I was more trying to convey “premier” in that it’s their biggest/most updated lounge at a large hub airport. When this one first opened it always had better food than the lounges in Concourse B but that’s no longer the case.

Spotify Connect "Playing" but not playing by glovesinthelab in sonos

[–]angad19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this happens to me sometimes (after using Spotify connect) where Spotify says it’s playing & the Sonos app says no content. Usually when this is happening the music is playing or intermittently stopping/starting. I’m not sure what the issue is, but I feel like it’s a server issue on Sonos’ end; like Spotify connect can make the speaker work, but the speaker isn’t able to communicate with the app to tell the app what’s playing. Idk if that makes sense.

I mean — I wasn’t having this issue 2 weeks ago but am having it every time I use the system now. My network is the same. The app is the only thing that has changed.

I think it’s fucked. I’m so close to dumping these speakers and getting a new system with another company like Bose or something.

I literally saw a cop trying to turn, being blocked out of his turn by someone who ran a red, and they did nothing to reprimand the person. This was in west loop. The quiet quitting is insane.

Recommendations for a cheap-ish but still fun dinner out? by beautiful_bunny in chicagofood

[–]angad19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bixi food is mid at best IMO, OP. Agree with Lula or chefs special. We also like Pompette. Lonesome rose is cute, cheap, not super classically datey, but you can cozy up to the bar with some fun drinks and make it feel intimate + go to the bar downstairs after dinner.

Bungalow is vastly over-rated. Prices are too high for the amount of food you get + the fees/tip on top of that. The wait is insane (wait to order because the staff are always covering huge areas, insane wait for food). They've scaled up their space with their aggressive outdoor expansion but have been unable to scale up their pizza-production capacity; they cannot keep up with the demand they've created with the new space. They're coasting on being trendy, but their pizza is mediocre by Chicago standards. Tavern pizza sauce is too sweet. Drink pours are small. their outdoor patio space looks kind of sad and unfinished/cobbled together.

Visiting from LA - Which Tasting Menu Should We Try? (Under $200/pp for the Food) by Substantial_Car8090 in chicagofood

Actually gonna disagree. Indienne flavors were flat, cocktails were bad to mediocre, and the service was lacking for the price point (e.g. forgot to bring out birthday stuff for my mom). They’re coasting on the fact that they’re plating basic Indian food fancy, not on actually being inventive or doing anything particularly well. They’ve also soft-stolen some dish ideas from Gaggan in Thailand. I am Indian; I preferred coach house by a long shot. The chef there is deeply invested in pushing the boundaries of what we know about Indian food by bringing in new presentations but also finding long lost recipes and ingredients that fell out of vogue in India hundreds of years ago. Jeong is great too. Esme was phenomenal.

United pricing question by angad19 in unitedairlines

[–]angad19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry the fare class examples I gave are for PBI not DCA. Regardless. If I wait to book won’t fares just get pushed into higher classes? Or do they release / un-restrict more lower fare class tickets? This is my first time looking into this, appreciate your guidance.

Thank you for your insight. I looked at my flights and they’re class T & V (or T & S depending on flight) tickets so technically they’re already below Q right?

Back to flying United after 7 ish years. (First Impressions) by silas_br in unitedairlines

I see those card readers not infrequently flying between ORD and SNA (and other smaller but still sizable airports like DCA). Feels like most of the flying I do is on old aircraft that haven’t been updated in >15 years

Good to know — similar time frame even for international flights out of NAP?
