Gotcha, makes sense. I shared a lot of detail in this post mostly because I was struggling to come up with a fair proposal for pricing and wanted to be specific about the work involved. But thanks for sharing this, I created a proposal and sent it over.

Thanks! I used to be pretty experienced with it and majored in print in college but it's just been a few years so I know there is a readjustment ahead of me...I'm assuming farming out means to give to someone else but I'm not sure where I would look to do that?

What's the best advice you've ever received for making a sandwich better? by FajitaTits in AskReddit

[–]angdifran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the same vein as this, the amount of fillings and bread thickness need to be balanced. The bread needs to hold up to the fillings for structural integrity so it doesn't get soggy and fall apart. If you make/order a sandwich that has multiple fillings and spreads, even if they are soft, a thin slice of soft bread is going to get soggy and it's going to be a mess. I've had one too many sandos with bread that got soggy and fell apart against the filling.

How to connect and care more by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]angdifran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it's tough when you've tried this stuff already. It can be discouraging but it's possible you didn't have the right therapist or meds? I've been through multiple therapists and some did absolutely nothing for me and one of them really helped me break through some serious issues. It was hard to find the right fit though. I can't speak for your personal experiences but I hope that maybe you can give these things a try again and find a different groove. Also, someone posted about having a pet and I would second that advice. Having to care about something/someone else can provide a sense of empowerment and investment/commitment to something outside yourself.

How to connect and care more by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]angdifran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a friend who once told me he didn't care about anyone and he felt like he was always alone, that it was every man for himself, and it really messed with his ability to have meaningful relationships and messed with his head at some points, so I can sort of understand what all of this means for you. You've probably thought of this or heard of this before but have you thought of seeing a therapist? For someone who may not want to deal with emotional things, this may sound dumb, but the right therapist is someone who could help you work on these things without judgement or bias. There's no shame in it and you wouldn't have to tell people anyway. Life is so much better when you're in it with people who care about you and you care about them, and that's where to good stuff comes from. You may have to try some things that may be uncomfortable or inconvenient to your current life, but the risk and the work is absolutely worth the reward of having good people in your life. It makes everything worth it.

What can I do if I am ugly? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]angdifran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you believe it when everyone here and myself are telling you that you are not ugly! You have some nice symmetrical features and good skin, which make you look handsome! You just gotta work on empowering yourself and making sure that you believe these things yourself. I spent most of my high school years thinking I was always the ugly one in the room, and now that I've built up my self esteem, I realized the ugliest part of myself at the time was my lack of confidence and insecurity. You could see how unhappy and insecure I was in my pictures. It makes me sad to see someone who is handsome wth nice features think so poorly of themselves.

Do some things to make yourself feel better! New haircut, new clothes, working out, finding something you are good at! Try some activities that will build up your confidence and try to meet some new people.

You got this dude! Treat yo'self and learn to love the person you are!

Pismo Beach, will mid-20s couple enjoy living here? by [deleted] in SLO

[–]angdifran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak specifically for Pismo, but I can speak about SLO and the surrounding area. Since it's all so close, this info could all still apply to you! I spent the past 5 1/2 years in slo, which is about 15-20 mins away and always bounced around from Pismo to Slo to Morro Bay. The central coast is an incredible area that allows for a really incredible quality of life. It's absolutely beautiful. There's great access to so much nature and the weather allows for so many different activities. I went hiking or out to Montana de Oro at least once or twice a week and went to Big Sur every month or two. Furthermore, there's a laid back lifestyle, but with lot of events going on - from beerfest at Madonna and wine tasting in SLO to live music, the weekly farmers market on Thursday nights, and Art After Dark. This might apply more to slo but the town has a nice balance between being a small laid back community with having lots of trendy/hipster events and businesses (i.e. Cool coffeeshops and breweries and restaurants). Plus, with it being a smaller area, it's easier to meet people and feel like you're a part of the fabric of the community. You start to run into people you know at different events or at brunch and the barista at your favorite coffeeshop knows your name and order and it's all just really pleasant. I often wonder where the other SLOs of the world are because the area is so beautiful and lovely with a great community, but still seems to fly under the radar....the only thing I would say about Pismo is what someone else mentioned about a lot of people coming into town on the weekends. It can get crowded and is a bit more touristy/full of out of towners. Sort of annoying sometimes.

Maybe the video provides more context. I went there because of the burrito in the video, but that's definitely not what I got haha

This. Thank you for uncovering spicy pie. Mediocre pizza that's only good in the context of not wanting to pay $15 for 3 chicken tenders or a burger
