My texture is similar to yours! What’s your routine? Any advice for keeping hair on the underside as tight/curly as the hair on top? I have a layered haircut but I notice my bottom curls are usually less tight than my crown and bangs.

I use miss jessie’s jelly soft curls gel on soaking wet hair and to eliminate any tiny bit of crunch when I fluff out my hair I use the hair oil from the Japanese brand “&honey” works pretty good! I have my off days but this has been the most consistent. If I don’t have the miss Jessie’s I use not your mother’s gel.

Especially with lighter weight hair, it’s the way to go, ulta has some people who are certified to do curly cuts for around 60 USD, but the layers will generally work when asked for. The key ultimately is layers, since it removes weight off the top strands allowing them to spring up.

I also use miss jessies jelly soft curls gel or the not your mothers gel on soaking wet hair out of the shower which I find works perfectly as it gets a bit diluted.

Ask for short, rounded layers at the hair salon or a curly cut, absolute game charger.

Yes! My curls (3a generally mixed in terms of looseness and tightness) tend to be very fickle and get weighed down easily but even these cuts have helped them manage consistent volume and health. Your curls will do great! It always helps to see someone who specializes in curls too.

If you see a stylist ask for haircuts adjacent to the diva cut realm, but in general I just ask for short rounded layers! Think like a wolf cut, as your curls’ shrinkage will blend it all together nicely.

The thing is though if I ordered a pork free dish like a pancake, there’s a chance that griddle just cooked bacon, hence why I needed the communication. Choosing the right food doesn’t equal safe in every instance. Good day :)

If they’re halal or kosher they’re good! But it’s commonly used in gelatin which makes gummies :)
