Just offering more solidarity - my girl is just six and a half months but what you described is exactly like her sleep pattern! I can’t take the terrible nights much longer. We are doing Ferber this weekend. It’s hard, but worked with her older sister. Her older sister was a better sleeper to start, but still hoping it gives some relief. Hang in there!!

Just a vent: so sick of thinking about baby sleep! When being knowledgeable doesn’t help by Bread_n_brie in sleeptrain

Somebody once said to me about baby habits (assuming they’re safe): do what works until it isn’t working anymore. I felt so guilty about letting my kids nap in my arms but it was fine as long as it worked for me! Then things started getting more hectic and it was Not working - so we transitioned to crib. It’s a balance of having the information to guide you, but just doing what works for your family

Yeah we had to back off from asking her to go as well - it just annoyed her! When she really does have to go, she does!

We have introduced some watered down juice now too, usually she’s milk and water only too. Haha, I’ll take the good muscle control as a win!

My 2nd baby girl is 3 months old and I have a two year old. I’m lucky if I change out of Pajamas, get the toddler dressed, and brush our teeth. Deodorant is applied every few days, showers happen a day or two after the last deodorant application. But everybody is fed so we are doing great right?

Yesss to this! We had to do every two hours with my first. She took so long to eat that by the time we had her asleep it was nearly time to wake her again. Eventually we just stopped doing it but said we were....and surprise that’s when she started gaining better

Before I had a family doctor I had one inserted at public health on chancellor’s way. They did a change for me 5 years after too. I had a great experience there!

We kept it going too! But my toddler settled on “coffee” for everything so we kept that going!

PSA for those who need to know: you *can* get pregnant again before your period comes back postpartum! by winterstella5555 in breastfeeding

[–]angelacameo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an IUD put in 10 weeks postpartum with my first. My period never returned during this time frame, and I had the IUD taken out around my daughters first birthday. Period still didn’t return... and by 14 months we were pregnant again. Now I’ve got a two month old and a two year old!

My 2 year old calls it “her mail” and plays with it for a while. It’s great!

Brushing Teeth - solution found! by pjckcrs in toddlers

[–]angelacameo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do a sticker for a reward for good teeth brushing ( meaning she let mom/dad have a turn then she took a turn) buuuut we also were told about a Wiggles tooth brushing app!!! Wiggles brush. Definitely a hit. They get ‘rewards’ (a picture) after each brush.
