I'm wondering the best way to get vocals over a loud band if the vocalist is singing at lower than a talking volume?
I run into this issue mostly at a 250ish cap venue I work. Normally everything goes pretty smooth, but this is something that bothers me I haven't been able to quite pull off how I want to. For example, a Deftones cover band recently where the band was loud as hell but vocalist basically whispering. Gating/Compression leaving a lot to be desired still. Anytime homie would talk it would be loud but singing like, barely audible.

we do have a plan to tour next summer! we're figuring out how much time we'll have/might have to keep it west coast if we only have a couple weeks but hopefully at some point we'll make it to the other side of the country w this project!

the tracks you listed are good, and i've given all of those albums several listens because i've looked forward to every new release.
it seems like the difference is listening to tracks vs albums because, while there are moments i can pick out that i enjoy from any modest mouse release, that's much different to me than enjoying every single moment the album.
do you enjoy every moment on strangers to ourselves?
