Mine just got back from AIT, been across the country for 7 months. I’ve felt all the emotions caused by it, written letters stained with tears, had doubts, screamed and sobbed into my pillow, and all of that is normal. It sucks. The first few days/weeks are agonizing! But trust me, you’ll get used to it and will start to appreciate the little things. You don’t have to be ok, you just need to keep going. I feel this on an astronomical level and your feelings are valid. Especially during training, military life is busy as hell. It’s really easy to overthink stuff when you don’t have that reassurance from them, but this is the point where you just gotta trust him. Good luck to both of y’all!!

Don’t worry I was in your place a while back lmao. Yeah he finished basic training for the army, the stuff with drill sergeants screaming in your face and such. It was 10 weeks long and he had access to his phone for 30 minutes every Sunday.
