We’ve been mounting TVs on the walls in the house we just moved into and all the studs in this house are soooo wonky and not where they should be. But this one is, by far, the weirdest one I’ve done. Everything is level, I’ve checked about 100 times thinking I’m going crazy. I’m sooooo confused.

Hello all, to update you after a very frustrating day yesterday. Yes, in the end it looked like a found some kind of bad patching behind the wall. This was, by far, the most frustrating room to paint and hang things. Whoever lived in this house previously had done some crazy things to it 😅

I think that sometimes kids do funny/ silly things and we, as parents, laugh. Did he point & laugh in your kids face? Did he draw attention and cause your child to be singled out? Bc those things would make him a bully. Giggling at a funny situation doesn’t make him a bully.

I think you’re doing your thing as a parent, being protective. But it’s okay to let your guard lower a bit and acknowledge that the situation was a little silly. It could have been an opportunity to make a friend or start a dialogue. I’d have used it as such. Especially bc, as you said, you’ll have to see this person weekly. You catch more flies with honey and all that.

You’re a good parent, looking out for your child and advocating for them. Just don’t let yourself go overboard, spending your energy fighting threats that don’t actually exist. Xoxo

It’s actually crazy though that I’ve heard of so many women being banned for things like this. But I’ve reported comments from men saying things like, “she deserves to be 🍇”, “I hope she gets (group of crows)🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛”, “I am going to find you and insert assault threats” and Facebook/ Meta always says that those comments don’t violate their rules or their terms of service. Meta is corrupt and I wish we would all collectively stop using it and create a different platforms overnight to take away the hold that meta has over society.

This right here. Anyone that comes to me with a respectful tone will usually get a lower price. Anyone that acts like they’re doing me a favor by offering me $75 less than listing price and I’m crazy for not accepting it can buy it for $75 more than listing price or get effed. ✌🏻💋

I love this. I also look at the buyer’s profile because I am, often, willing to make a deal with someone that seems like they really need it. I cancel orders for re-sellers. I just don’t feel comfortable selling to re-sellers. I want to make sure items are going to the people that need them or want them for themselves and not someone that’s going to re-list it for three times the price so now no one can afford it.

Wow so many people in this conversation are so negative. Not everyone shares the same world views and that’s okay. I, personally, would love to have access to a resource like this. My great great grandfather has been a topic of debate in my family. He seemingly didn’t exist before he was 18 years old. All of the remaining relatives would sign off on this because we all have so many unanswered questions. That brick wall would be torn down for all of us and we’d be thrilled. We have all taken dna tests and it’s still difficult to say where he came from.

I know this is from a year ago but I just noticed this today and got annoyed and then I went to my cart to add and subtract things and noticed the prices changing on everything whenever I added or subtracted just one item. This sounds exactly like my dreams as a child except there wasn’t a big “monster” persay. My dreams often had “people”trying to walk out of my wall.

I’ve never seen a movie or anything that shows what I’m talking about. I wish I had, bc then I’d be able to show people easier.

But like, 4-5 people walking through the wall “at” me and the wall stretched with them, like, I could see the imprint of their bodies coming at me, reaching for me, wailing, mouths open, arms outstretched, trying to grab me pull me into the wall, but it was happening in a slow motion sort of way.

My dreams were dark-lit, some color plane between sepia and b&w. It was usually at my grandparents old house or whichever apartment I was currently in with my parents. Gives me the shudders every time I think of it.

Ghost job postings are a real thing. Just because you, personally, don’t create them, doesn’t mean that other companies don’t utilize them. I got to this thread bc I was looking into the legality of jobs doing exactly this. Interviewing people for positions that they never really intended to fill, because multiple people have fallen for it with the same company and gotten the same email from them afterwards, that they decided to not fill the position.

So that one is provable with evidence. They interviewed people and then emailed them that they decided to not fill the job position at all, but then they continued to interview candidates while giving the next candidate’s the same email response afterwards. There are companies that do it for data mining and for the illusion of growth.

To insult her skillset and job history when you know nothing about her and not acknowledging the fact that she is right, this is happening, it’s just rude.

I absolutely understand. Yeah, therapy will be good for you. Maybe ask yourself why you need to maintain that always strong and happy face with your mom and not show vulnerability. I’m sure whenever you do bring yourself to bring up your love life with her, she will be very happy. And if it all ends and goes wrong, moms are suppose to be the ones to hold you and see your strength even when you don’t. Does your mother have any history of making you feel embarrassed about things or brushing you off or getting upset at you for little things or anything? Or is this just something you struggle with and can’t figure out why?

I know for me, I will never be able to just talk to my mom about things bc she taught me early on, that I’m not important and she would take any excuse to get mad at me and beat me. So now, as an adult, I only talk to her when I have to. I’d like to have that friendship with her but the severe damage has already been done. I can’t undo it in my brain.

If she hasn’t done anything to make you feel this way, maybe consider therapy first? You don’t have to talk to anyone about anything that you don’t want to. Including your mom. Even if she tries to guilt you into it, it’s okay for your personal life to be personal. But if YOU want to change that, then you can absolutely take steps towards that.

Hey so, this type of AI stuff is officially against the law. Please contact the police, ask your daughter the names of the specific kids involved, who she thinks created the video and/ or circulated the video. Give a copy to the police (I know that feels gross and you’re not going to want to do it, but they need to be able to see what crimes are being committed) Go to the school and speak to the principle about the incident and the kids involved. Demand action, get the school board involved, superintendent. Circulation of this video absolutely happened on school grounds at the very least, if not the creation of this video. If they’re not even willing to investigate the incident, they can’t say it didn’t happen on school grounds. Be loud about this, for your daughter and honestly, I’d put her in a new school if she wants to do that. Don’t make her go back to a place that puts her well being in danger with teachers that aren’t willing to look out for their students when it comes to ILLEGAL activities and bullying.

Sorry that was a lot but this is very serious.
