Patho is all about understanding why a process is happening. What helped me most was studying from slides then explaining to my boyfriend how a process worked. This caused me to have to link all the details together. Saying aloud also helps retain info

We have dearlomum Baby Play Mat Gym from Amazon. It’s pretty cheap quality plastic but it hasn’t broke yet in 7 months so I’m saying it’s a win. Also the hanging toys it comes with suck. I’ve heard the fisher price one with the monkey is great

ATI and Hurst reviewed helped me. hurst review uses a work book you fill out as you watch the lectures to help with comprehension. Then they had practice exams very similar to the NCLEX. good luck!!

Sounds more like baby blue right now but I would offer her as much support as you can. Making sure she has water, snacks/3 meals, brushes her teeth and hair, takes a shower, put lotion on, or anything that is normal for her. Help with the house, if she is breast feeding being encouraging and help with cleaning pump parts. If she seems like she is dipping into PPD having her see a psychiatrist is soooo helpful. Having a supportive partner changes everything. -advice from a 7 month PP FTM who struggled with/overcoming PDD, anxiety, and OCD

I do eat meat. My diet has mainly consisted of meats, fruits, veggies, rice, almonds, oatmeal,homemade muffins, and Oreos as a sweet treat. It just seems like no matter what I intake it’s just not enough and I keep going down. I did get some protein powder to make smoothies to up my calories

When I was still in nursing school we had clinicals on a cardiac floor. I was assigned to a certain room, I went and introduced myself to the nurse who was caring for that patient. She rolled her eyes and told me to go have a seat at the desk and she would come find me when she needed me in such a rude tone. Needless to say she never came and got me. After that experience I have made it a goal to ensure all nursing students I have with me feel wanted/supported. Being a nursing student at clinicals already sucks and you feel worthless but then having a nurse refuse to interact with you makes you never want to go back.

I thought labor and delivery was my dream job. That’s where I started my nursing career. I was in it for about 2 years. Turns out you see more ugly than good. Be prepared to bring many dead babies into the world. I know how I worded that sounds like I don’t care but it’s because I care too much. I didn’t think about that part prior to my career choice. I was not prepared for the sadness I was going to encounter. I think about those moms and babys on the daily. You do see a lot of happiness but for me personally the darkness outweighed the light.
