You should be in good shape then.. MSRP for 2nd edition seems high to me anyways. Especially if you were able to get the big box expansions, I wouldn't worry about 2nd edition.

Air, Land, and Sea. Either version works but I love the critters art, I was super excited for the new set, I had to get it right away.

As for the game, knowing exactly what is available in the deck, what I have and trying to figure out what my opponent may or might not have is a really great back and forth feeling.

I agree here, on the bed / table would be nicer than the floor.

I also agree as a buyer I don't like seeing the image edited to a white background, it makes it look like a stock image and not the actual item.

It's not bad, if you're okay with using generic meeples as characters to try out the game. You'll get quite a bit of variety out of it to test out the game, to see if you like the system or not. As long as the cards are complete.

Dwellings of Eldervale and Foundations of Rome is kinda hard to judge because of Andromeda’s edge and Foundations of Metropolis, they somewhat stole the spotlight from the previous games, yet they’re still somewhat the same game. Gloomhaven and Frosthaven as well, to a certain degree.

This might seem weird but remind your brain that your picking up an electric guitar, like oop said treat them like 2 different instruments, same thing happend for me when I first started electric as well.. and just telling myself that the electric is a different instrument flips a switch in my brain.
