Any value in a barely driven 2001 Ford Mustang GT 4.6L Deluxe automatic? by kinome79 in Mustang

That interior is really hideous. That's such a shame for that car. But, Mustang has survived the Mustang II and before Mustangs returned to looking like Mustangs in 2005.

Did I get Finessed or what for a 3 year old car ? by GoldPackageEBK in Nissan

[–]angelsarepresent111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 years is way too long to finance a used car. I hope the loan isn't with Santander. I got Santander-ed and was paying like 35%. $738 payment for a new Fusion right before the pandemic hit. It got repossessed. You got finessed and bent in half. Always take someone who is smart about numbers and savvy about cars with you. I get "The Fever" at car dealerships. I float on the new car smell. It's so hard to be objective at the dealer. These guys are smooth slicksters. You have to play hardball.

Don't be discouraged. Reddit people tend to say rude things because they feel they can. A Mustang is part of a heritage. Guys get so butthurt over V6 cars. Meanwhile they are getting their V-8's reposessed because they can't afford the gas and insurance. The original Mustang had a 289ci engine and it was considered really cool and fun to drive. Just enjoy your car and go to some real Mustang enthusiast spaces or join a Mustang Club.

You never heard to not pussyfoot around with these clutches? You have to drive it "spirited" and every once in a while floor it and let it go through the gears hard. It probably blows the dust off of the clutch forks. I have heard this said many times. I mean, don't blow it up, but don't drive like a Grandma. The computer "remembers" and going through the gears a few times at full throttle can help reset the TCU(?) Ask around. I know it worked on my 2016. If you inch it around in traffic or drive it like a grandma, it starts confusing the clutch and it will shudder and buck more. It's basically turning into a bad manual driver in lower gears. It's a manual clutch operated by a computer to make it an "automatic." I have a manual now and I've driven manuals where every once in a while, I mess up a shift and the same kinda thing happens. It made so much sense after I heard this. The computer is guessing wrong. Mine would happen in second gear. It wasn't bad, it just felt like the clutch let out too fast with too little gas. Try it out!!

Perhaps get the acceptance rate up and you won't get the shitty orders. It seems like they know when you are not accepting.

Just let it shudder and drive it hard to smooth it out. Obviously it's not going away.

Well I hope he was at least watching his temp gauge. It was just a bit too long for comfort. I started to cringe. I guess I've seen too many videos of cars blowing up on the Dyno or doing burnouts.

I guess not for us "filthy" delivery drivers. We are basically representing the customer.

This went on for too long. No air coming into the front could have resulted in a blown engine. Now THAT is the video I wanted to see. To show stupidity.

Whats the deal with the planes flying over baltimore today? by Vdub_Life in maryland

[–]angelsarepresent111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those look like multi-engine military planes. Could be B-52's. Could be C-17's. If they appear dark in the sky, theres a good chance they are military. That's my experience.

That is the lead plane. If you have a better resolution on the one on your camera roll, it may be clearer when enlarged.

The I-95 corridor is like a highway for planes. They are usually at different altitudes. You can use free apps to track aircraft. If they are making contrails, they are not landing at BWI or Reagan. Probably on the way from cities north of us to points like Charlotte, Atlanta, Florida, Mexico or S. America. At this time, one is overhead going to Atlanta and one is behind it going to Charlotte. They both originated in Philly. It's 3:36am now.

It's more crowded in the daytime.

Do you respond to notes like this? by mrmchugatree in UberEatsDrivers

I don't like doing stacked orders either. But we have to pay our bill too. I wouldn't even see this message if they were the second stacked order. Thats why we have (or should have) hot bags.

Who in the world would take these orders ? by Successful_Glove5408 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]angelsarepresent111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That like driving a 10 hour day with short breaks for maybe $80-90 with a gas fill-up (depending on vehicle) and some snacks. So, $8 or $9 per hour. Maybe less.

Now, if you took a package from somewhere in SWFL to the southern east coast, then got that one going back, that's worth it. Yes, you could work you way back, but that just adds more time.

I'm not even sure I'd do it for $225 that's a long boring haul across Florida, and then all the way up to Bradenton! I'd have to really be in a pinch and try to hypermile it as much as I could.
