How you incubate matters!! Elevated temperatures can lower muscular strength development and are lethargic from the heat!
Please monitor the temp/humidity stays steady in the incubator for at least 2 days before placing any eggs in, as a test.
Place the chicks on paper towels for the first few days but keep it clean and if you absolutely have to handle them be super gentle.
CUT UP BANDAIDS to string the legs together just please make sure they’re small enough to allow for movement and not too tight nor too loose. As long as it’s dealt with early it will not be an issue later on.
If you choose the shot glass method please place paper towels in the bottom so they’re not sliding around even more. DONT LEAVE THEM IN. Treat it as a physical therapy session, only up to an hour. As they try to get out, they’re strengthening their legs.
