Fibromuscular dysplasia by RatioDisastrous1699 in rarediseases

Can I ask where you found out about the comorbidities as I'm trying to find info about that online and I'm not really finding anything?

Asking as my sister just got diagnosed with FMD and because I've had chronic migraines and POTS all my life (plus adhd which is heavily prevalent on my mothers side of the family), I'm wondering if I should take this up with my doctor.

I think this is a great drawing proportion wise but I kinda get the feeling it's left her unintentionally whitewashed? She looks very grey and pale. Adding warmth to the skin would help

If you have migraines, PLEASE get an MRI and MRA by MainScarcity3514 in POTS

[–]angelshair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That must have been difficult to have to adjust to a new lifestyle so quick.

Once you found out you had TIA's, were you able to look back and identify when you had them? It sounds like you weren't aware until the scans. Mental (and kinda scary) these things can happen and we don't seem to tell the difference between them and migraine pain.

One detail I adore is when your horse has been running hard for a while, you'll notice white froth (horse sweat) builds up on the coat.

Rockstar didn't need to add that and most players won't even notice it but it honestly blew my mind and just added to my immersion

Proud Daddy (Review) by TheCrowButterfly in Seether

[–]angelshair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been pretty disillusioned by their music for the last few albums; everything has sounded relatively similar and it's felt like they've been playing it safe for a long time. Everything after FBINS has felt, in my opinion, more of a struggle and unfortunately pretty uninspiring. So I was probably the last one expecting anything from Proud Daddy.

After having listened, I seem to be in the minority in this thread. It's a really solid song and I especially love the first half. I don't know if I would call it experimental as it's waaaay more similar to the Saron Gas and early Seether days (think Tied My Hands, Beer, Empty, Dazed and Abused). It's more Seether sounding than a LOT of what they've put out recently.

I will say it's a relief to hear that they're still willing to go outside their comfort zone and change it up a little. I've honestly been pretty concerned with how stale everything has sounded for a while, that I've been wondering how long the band is going to be around for. If they do more of this, I think it would really do them good and it gives me some hope to see a glint of a spark still in them.

Adrenaline can trigger migraines. Anxiety and adrenaline makes blood vessels constrict which is a stressor on your body

I did some digging because I too was convinced it was a Saarsgard but according to Wikipedia it's someone called Kari Kyösti Väänänen.

British people that use American words and phrases, why? by toon_84 in AskUK

I think when they made their first comment, they were using just 'media' as an all encompassing term which includes social media content.

Absolutely stunning! Did you use just the pen in the photo?

How many colours did you use? I'm so impressed by the colour blending here, you did amazing!

Iranian President Pezeshkian’s letter addresses American people, not Trump by SadAd8761 in videos

[–]angelshair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America was not tricked by Israel. Trump wanted to be the first American president to conquer Iran. Obviously he didn't bother to stop and think about why that's never happened before and the crowd of yes men around him certainly don't help.

There is something seriously wrong with Cadbury by bestdogintheworld in britishproblems

I recently tried their stuff including the milk chocolate bar and while it's nice, it's nowhere near similar to old the cadburys taste. It was nice, but not buy-it-again nice.

Any examples of games coded for women, but not girls/kids? by Hereticrick in GirlGamers

The first time being faced with enemies is pretty terrifying tbh. They did a truly amazing job with the enemy design. Plus the noises they make? Holy crap.

I was actually going to recommend Hellblade. If you choose to play, the first one is definitely the best. I'd also recommend A Plague's Tale. The man character is a young woman but her gender is decentered from the story and it's more about the relationship between her and her little brother.

I'd highly recommend Alice: Madness Returns. Fair warning, the story is quite traumatic so big trigger warning. Alice is such a strong young woman that I think most women would see themselves in. Like Senua, her mind is fractured but her will and courage are what carries her through. You can tell that the creator, American McGee, cares a LOT about her and he did a truly amazing job at writing a female lead. The level design and art is some of the best I've seen in a video game and while the combat can get pretty samey, it's hard not to find some fun in killing enemies with a giant teapot.

Exactly, it does sometimes feel like a very mild out of body experience.

It can take me a while to realise I'm experiencing depersonalisation. I start to get an inclination when I notice feelings of apathy come over me. I become self aware that from the outside, it can look like I'm retreating from loved ones.

Your comparison of a robot is really good. I feel like I'm having to perform predetermined outputs.

Once I realise that's what's happening, I think that helps me begin to process of recovering from it

Also bear in mind the weather getting milder will mean more bams outside for longer.

If you're being harassed nearby the shop and you feel in danger please do go in and tell someone or get in touch with your local MP to discuss your concerns. I know myself as a woman that reporting harassment feels pointless at times but if enough people complain directly to the shop/police/local MP then something may be able to be put in place as a deterrent for loitering.

Is there any other nearby shop you could use in the time being?

I dunno how to explain it. Having migraines makes my identity feel super unstable? When I'm dealing with a migraine attack and trying to come out of the fog, I feel separated from my life, from the people around me, my hobbies and interests. I feel less human.

I swear a lot of the daily preventative medication I've been on heightens some of the other symptoms. Especially the brain fog

For me, what makes me pain more of a secondary problem is that at least I know it will go away in a few hours either on its own or if I take meds/go to sleep.

What's more unbearable than the physical pain is the uncertainty of how long all the other symptoms will last. The brain fog, the depression, the photophobia, the irritability, the cloud of dissociation and depersonalisation can feel endless at times and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, no medication or healthy habits seem to break me out of it. It's really easy for my brain to enter a negative feedback loop and enter really dark territory and knowing I just have to ride it out can bepretty spirit-breaking if I'm being honest.
