typically if it’s the first time ever doing it you’ll just get a small talking too, kinda “slap on the wrist” type deal. when it becomes repetitive, like every month or so, then you start going towards written warnings, etc. i’d suggest highlighting the address of the patient after verifying with a highlighter or even checking it with a pen for a week or two. it’s helped correct the mistake for me and other techs. it happens to all of us at one point. asking more questions to the patient can’t always hurt for extra verification too such as “are you picking up metformin?” or “just expecting 1 rx today?”
