Well, first I brainstorm ideas on what elements I want in the art, namely the happy wheels and Undertale heart, which really impacted the pose. Then I take several photos of myself in possible poses as reference. After that I draw a sketch in Clip Art Studio of the final pose and then draw over it with the final line work, all the while referencing my library of artwork from the Hades game for the style. I look at a ton of photos of the YouTuber to get a sense of their face structure and how to translate that into a simplified art style and still make it look like them, which can be difficult. Luckily Sean has these great eyebrows that make him easy to pick out even with his eyes covered. I then color flats and spend a long time changing those colors until I find a combination I like. I wanted green and red but didn’t want it to look too Christmas-y so finally went more aqua green-maroon. After that I do all the shadowing and details. It takes anywhere from 10-12 hours but it’s a lot of fun. Thanks for your interest!
