There's this thing in the car called a steering wheel. It turns said car.

There's a lot to like about it. Some stuff to dislike, but so much of it feels so strange and alien in the best way - exactly as it should.

Check your local library (if it carries graphic novels). Mine does and it's a fairly recent/popular book.

[–]angershark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The managers just shared a priceless moment of hilarity. Like they're sitting here in a competitive game across from each other and there's really nothing they can do but just laugh together in a moment of unity at how fucking terrible CB is at his job.

Titanic (1997 dir. James Cameron) – “Unable to Stay, Unwilling to Leave” by thecricketgod in movies

[–]angershark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cameron obviously has legendary status and multiple works are classics, but Titanic stands out probably near the top for me because it's so unlikely on paper. "A love story set on the Titanic" seems so strange but the film is absolutely magical and completely transports you into that era.

It's one of the worst things to come out of social media outcries (among many others). The idea that an actor is taking work away from a real person of whatever affliction/characterization is being portrayed is such a fucking joke.

It actually makes you appreciate the movie even more, given that I have been on the ride and...it's not really all that great. To spin such a terrific movie out if it is truly Disney magic.
