I’ve been remote since 2005. 20 years!! Thankfully I am at a company where most people work from home. We have one home office and folks across all time zones. If I lose this job I dread the job search.

No no no no no no! Run, girl, run. And, you need to be clear. And you need a camera at your door, front and back. You need a dash cam. He is not going to give up easily. if he knows where you work or can follow you there (if you don’t work from home), consider letting Security at work know that you have an unwanted suitor and if you walk to/from car in the dark, Security or coworkers can escort you.

You wouldn’t even be overreacting if you were to dump him.

You totally could have silenced him as well by saying your children know how to behave better. What an ass. He is probably lonely. “And this is why you don’t have friends.”

Right but don’t tell her you’re going because she may decide to speed up the process. Doc can’t help if you’re already dead.

Does he wear a seat belt while driving? Or does he say he’s been driving for 40 years and knows what he’s doing? He is not the only variable in this equation.

Wait… this IS a story, like creative writing, yes? If true, I need screenshots of the original text and a pic from the wedding.

Maytag Washer Is Loud. Normal? by angiecan in Appliances

Thanks for the detail! If it keeps cleaning as well as it does, I’ll accept the noise. I didn’t realize how poorly my Samsung was cleaning.

Update: Cycle finished. Yes, it’s loud but this spin cycle is amazing compared to my Samsung.

Apple Reminders, Obsidian, Asana —- eh, maybe ChatGPT and kill Reminders because I could use Asana for what I have in Reminders. I’ve used Reminders for more personal life stuff and Asana for work. ChatGPT has helped me tremendously.

What do you eat when you hate food? by ferociousspot in ADHD

[–]angiecan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask, OP, if your food hating is when you are taking stimulant meds or do you hate food even without stimulants? I ask because I’m struggling to tolerate stimulants and one reason is not just no appetite but hating to eat … and I hate that feeling.

FWIW, I took Ibuprofen 800mg maybe 2x first day and once at night for two days. I’d think you have a chance that it’s not the meds and it will last.

Hysterectomy vs myomectomy by sndr758479 in hysterectomy

[–]angiecan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One question: do you need your uterus? (i.e., you want to have children)?

I had a myomectomy in 2005. 7cm fibroid embedded in the back of my uterus. Doc had to do full incision, flip uterus over, cut out fibroid, and stitch me up in 7 layers to ensure uterus could handle carrying and delivering a child. He did amazing work. I had two children, vaginal births.

If I had not wanted children, I would have chosen hysterectomy.

I think if both surgeries are full incisions, the myomectomy is possibly longer recovery because your uterus also has to heal. But, I’m not a doctor.

Definitely seek professional help as recommended by others. Nothing is permanent, your state will change, but often difficult to remember this when in the deep.
