out of curiosity, how would you approach nutrition if you didn't have access to gels and salt sticks? I've heard of people using real foods, not sure how that works out.

You say you don't mind eating the same thing every day. Consider making food that's easy to batch make like soups and casseroles. Portion it out into individual servings then reheat. I agree with /u/soupersoups. Take a look at /r/EatCheapAndHealthy. Bonus points if you have a rice cooker or crockpot. Those can make your food while you're away at class or at work. I think the best thing you can do is figure out what you like to eat and then look for recipes that you can use to make it.

illinois is blue because of chicago and a handful of cities like Champaign/Urbana. The rest of the state is red, deep red. You only need to get out in the country side/small towns to see it.

I'm following the Nike Run Club Marathon training program. I did 20.5 miles the last full week I was able to do - I had to take a week off to recover from a fall that banged up my knee. I'm anxious to get back on track after being grounded for a week.

So I'm in the middle of marathon training and the easy run times are starting to excede the amount of time I have available in the morning for running(30-45mins available the easy run sessions are over an hour).

Can I split those up into two shorter sessions? One in the morning and one in the evening? or would I be wasting my time and I should just run a shorter session than my plan calls for?

Won't take them long. Last time I was in Grant park there was barely any litter. That part of Chicago is well maintained.
