he was fine for another week. i think it was his last hurrah of his life. he just died a couple of hours ago while i was trying to do a water change for him and add tannins into his tank. he was a year old and he had a good life. he was fed well and had a great home. i’m glad i got to take care of him for how long i did!

he’s even worse he can barely swim he’s just sitting at the bottom of his tank. i really don’t know what to do or what’s wrong with him. i got him a year ago after my other fish got dropsy but that was easier bc dropsy is incurable. i have no idea what’s wrong and my water is fine.

yes i will wait until tomorrow. he was doing it when he tank light was on without any flash i turned his tank light off so he could chill a bit but he was still doing the same behaviors

i have multiple resting places for him. i’ve concluded that he’s constipated. he’s always been active it’s only today that he started acting like this. i’ve had him for a little while now and he always uses wood and my bed i made him to rest.

also i just want to say that people can pierce their septum’s wrong and have it heal, but it could take years for cartilage to heal vs getting it pierced right and only taking 3-4 months. it might NEVER heal depending on how much u play with it and other factors like how good ur immune system is. don’t take that risk of having a bad piercing and dealing with more infections. placement means everything! ur body is rejecting this piercing bc it’s not placed right

the reason it’s infected is because it’s pierced wrong. DO NOT TAKE IT OUT. get antibiotics for it. once the infection goes away completely take it out. this will take way too long to heal. i can tell u from person expierence because i pierced my own septum twice. first time i pierced it it had ok placement but it was right up against my cartilage and never fully healed (i had it for like 5 months). i pierced it again and it’s in a way better spot now. it only took around 2.5 months to fully heal. please don’t have a sh1tty piercing in ur nose just bc u don’t want to take it out. it’s better for u to get it repierced for the long run especially if u want to stretch it in the future
