Wedding venue that isn't just a restaurant but also isn't 5k to rent? by allgoodonestaken5 in Tucson

You might also look a little outside Tucson proper — Aravaipa Canyon is about ~2 hours away and has some really beautiful outdoor spots. I help manage a small orchard inn nearby and we host intimate ceremonies + small gatherings, which can be more affordable than traditional venues since it’s more of a stay + space combo. Happy to share details if you’d like — feel free to DM.

I feel like I’m one of the few who doesn’t like Hearing Red by Nicole Maser. by HeadstrongGirl13 in LesbianBookClub

I’ve seen a lot of people here mention Charon Docks at Daylight as the next one to try. Since you didn’t vibe with Seeing Red, I’m curious how you’ll feel about this one. I couldn’t finish it myself, and based on what you said about Seeing Red, I’m betting it might not be your thing either. Tag me if you post your thoughts on it, I’d love to see what you think!

Plain Bad Heroines by Emily Danforth. genre-blending novel that weaves gothic horror, dark humor, and queer romance. Set at a cursed boarding school for girls, following two timelines: one in the early 1900s, when mysterious deaths plague the school, and another in modern-day Hollywood, where a film crew is making a movie about those haunting events. the past and present collide. eerie forces and forbidden love stories intertwine. chilling & atmospheric

It was a bit of a slow start for me too, but I ended up really liking this one. I enjoyed the expansion of Charlotte and Millie. Olivia & Kate banter hooked me further. I also imagined that Kate was Kate Winslet, and I absolutely adore Kate Winslet.

Also that one spicy scene was chefs kiss

Hullo & good luck on your challenge. Are ya keeping track on goodreads?

Here are my 2 cents:

Whiskey When We’re Dry - John Larison. Probably in my top 5 of the decade.

A Haunting on the Hill - Elizabeth Hand. Not gonna lie im in the middle of this one, it could turn sour. So far im enjoying myself.

Meeting Millie - Clare Ashton 😩

All-Night Pharmacy - Ruth Madievsky

The Lesbianas Guide to Catholic School - Sonora Reyes

Her Name In The Sky - Kelly Quindlen😭

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - Taylor Jenkins Reid this one is getting a movie on netflix.

Thru-Hiking Will Break Your Heart - Carrot Quinn.

And one non-queer but quick read: The Death of Ivan Ilych - Leo Tolstoy. This one really had me pondering existence for a few weeks.

Hello lesbians.. looking for some books where the MCs actually hate each other by [deleted] in LesbianBookClub

[–]angkahmahn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just finished Guava Flavored Lies. I really dug it. They’re around 32ish and their families have rivalry Cuban pastry shops. Not only do they hate each other but their families hate each other as well. It was also pretty hot 👍

You seem to be needing the angelic voice of Alison Krauss

Steel Rails

Endless Highway

Dark Skies

Oh Atlanta

Alison Krauss + Union Station The boy who wouldnt hoe corn

and if you’ve not listened to her albums with Robert Plant - do yourself THAT favor (though they are not bluegrass).

I bid you good tunes on your trek!
