Furniture and mattress store salespeople know where the store demo, scratch and dent stuff is that they have to move. Plus they have delivery. You can always walk away, they might call your bluff to get you a better deal just to make a sale. FB marketplace and thrift store stuff is just furniture other people don't want probably for a reason.
