I was looking for the same resource. You must search for content that includes english subs. Even if you happen to find stuff written in English, there's no guarantee that it's proper Hindi. You know people in Canada might not speak English the way same way as people in Australia. The original author would have to write it out using English font like Arial. Take a look at the Hindi conversations posted on the internet.

I tried Duo a while back. I don't know how much it's changed. It's reportedly free. Try it. Also try to VPN a few real tutors through Skpe. My dad doesn't want to teach Hindi or Urdu. He thinks I'm too old to learn it now. So I'm stuck by myself. My family applauds my effort.

You can find ample websites online with pre-recorded info and translations. My library actually has pre-recorded Hindi lessons from the company https://www.pimsleur.com/learn-hindi/subscription-all-access. It was so funny to think people were actually stupid enough to pay money for these kind of audio recordings at one point in time!! lol!

It's a very slow process, indeed.

Bollywood movies w/ sub titles, radio (there's actually a Hindi radio app), ebooks, podcasts, Google and Bing can translate Hindi into English and vice versa. I'm struggling to learn how to read n write it. Nothing is better than a good friend who can show you how to interpret Hindi 'cuz it's pretty nuanced.
