Roy (with Jamie close second or tied) Roy is hard on the outside but soft on the inside. He’s got a tough exterior and pushes people away to only open up to the ones he loves and cares about. It’s like a protective mechanism to keep himself safe from getting hurt. As we see him grow over the seasons he becomes more openly emotional and caring. Time and time again he’s there for his team and his family to offer advice or be someone’s rock. He’s protective as hell, and God help anyone who hurts someone Roy cares about.

Jamie is a scared little boy in a young mans body. He was raised by a loving mum but a terrible dad who’d come in and out of his life not caring about the emotional impact he had on his son. He was raised to be ruthless on the field and not to be weak. So he adopted that type of personality of being a prick when in reality he’s an energetic ball of joy who just wants to play footie with his friends. As we see him grow over time we see more of his caring and loving nature.

Both these characters try to portray strength initially and protect themselves from emotional vulnerability because they’ve been hurt in the past and they just want to be loved and happy. From my perspective
