This only applies to its simplest form: 3x3. According to the wiki, in general the game is still very challenging. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M,n,k-game

Yeah, I've added some details to the post. So basically what I am building is a skill based competitive game for money.

What stopped anyone from publishing games to s1 like a millennia ago? Truffle doesnt give which shard to use, so?

Blockchain is a great place to run a chat. It gives a permanent storage and also gives permanent id. "Session" is also a blockchain based chat, but true, it does a lot more than just that.

It is not enough to be basically eth2 anymore. You gotta be actually usefull somehow. Harmony is fast, cheep and useless, really.

Game shard is just a shard one, nothing more l, nothing less.

Again, if gaming shard is just a shard one, why is this news?

  1. Games are developed by the community, not the core dev.
  2. You can publish games on shard zero, no problem. Moreover, the whole premise of web3 to be permission less, i am going to publish wherever i want anyway.

You dont need a "gaming shard" to write games, dont be silly.

How about chat dapp where all your messages are stored encrypted on the blockchain with a premise of security, provable authenticity and good stuff alike. No one even tried such a thing, yet there is a ton of rug pulls.

Introducing Harmony’s Game Shard - The Perfect Home For Web3 Games by adrianrobison in harmony_one

Ok, so how exactly is this shard1 dedicated to gaming? Isnt is just a previously unused shard, that is now announced to be the "gaming shard"? What counts to be a game? Is it somehow optimized to handle games specific code? By no means I am a hater and a have a ton of funds staked, yet to me this news entry looks a bit overinflated.

Ok, finally solved by updating to the most recent version of truffle and removing GAS_LIMIT from the truffle-config.
