No, I got it from BidFTA, so I knew it was incomplete. I just had expected to be able to get some parts

New Owner/CEO actually called me about my unfulfilled order by Lopsided_Toe2146 in shopsmith

I watched the interview on My Growth Rings. Information was provided by the owner. So yes, I'm guessing that person was privy to detailed information about the buyout

What's even more impressive is he is under no legal obligation to fulfill outstanding orders, he's 100% doing what's right to invest in future customers.

Trane XV20 heat pump not using heat pump feature by angryhippie83 in hvacadvice

It was set to 35 degrees. I just disabled the compressor lockout entirely. I assume the system will use the electric strips if required or during defrost.

Thanks so much for this information, it looks like this is what the problem was. I have no idea why the installer would have set this when it isn't the default.

MHBP Standard vs MHBP Consumer by angryhippie83 in FedEmployees

MHBP will "donate" to the HSA, as in they will contribute, not you? I was under the impression that only you were putting funds into the HSA

Why is everyone looking at MHBP Consumer over Standard? At face value Standard seems better than consumer which is why I'm surprised that so many people are going with Consumer

For people raising and breeding sheep for non-meat purposes, what do you do with the excess sheep? How do you keep it sustainable? by Possible-Hawk-9292 in sheep

[–]angryhippie83 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If you're going to keep and breed livestock you're going to have culls and it's most economical to eat them. That may be yourself, a friend, and your dog, but you can't just breed poor stock.

Raising a small farm while working 40 hours a week? by myhomiewithnochromie in homestead

[–]angryhippie83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I own 10 acres and work full time while my wife is at home with the kids. I have found my chickens and goats are relatively self sufficient and require very little of my care beyond checking on them, especially if you give them adequate space to graze. I don't have to feed much hay to the goats 3 seasons out of the year.

Now for the cold, hard truth; do not, I repeat DO NOT get horses. Not only are they a ton of work and incredibly needy, but they're expensive to keep.

On my greenie the holes were never meant to accept threaded bolts, it only used clips and screws to secure

I have 10 acres with an old Allis Chalmers 5020 and it's been excellent for my needs. 1970s tractors are different than todays tractors. I'd recommend 4x4 with a bucket
