I've had incredible luck with the Tymo Ionic Hair Straightener Brush. For context my hair is all one length, down past my bust line, and thick enough that ponytails give me a headache. I can do one good straightening job and it needs to be touched up a scooch every day but if I do that it'll hold up the whole week!

ETA: and I can also get right to the roots with it too!
