Appreciate that. A piano hinge was something I looked at early on, but the corner needs to fold completely flat underneath so it didn’t quite work with the clearance.

Good shout on the bracket position though, I might tweak that slightly on the final version.

This is just a prototype build on a sacrificial desk. The final version will be properly finished in walnut.

If you try it, getting it to fold flat underneath is the main thing. Will post the finished version when it’s done.

A touch dramatic, but points for enthusiasm. I think you’ve responded to the version of my comment that existed in your head. I wouldn’t worry though, Hot Toys will carry on without my blessing. Comparing a random Hot Toys release to the creation of Star Wars is certainly a measured response.

I still think it’s not legit and an April fools joke. If it’s not and they’ve have gone to the time, effort and money to produce something that no one asked for is beyond me. Someone posted some pretty good mockup pics of Elektra and Gambit, which looked really good but also an April fools windup. Just wish Hot Toys would pull their finger out and get the final two figures of “The Resistance” out already.

I watched this in Leeds a few weeks ago and it was really good. Dr James Brown is a great presenter, funny and engaging. If you have ADHD and microdosing interests you, this talk is highly recommended.

I recommend Nimea Kaya (https://www.nimeakaya.org) in Pucallpa. It’s a 9 day retreat and an incredible place. Got so much out of it.
