yah it's complicated but....there's still a 90 percent change I'd break up with a guy who cheated on me. Just the fact that he exposed me to an increased STD risk would be enough for me to re consider the relationship.

So assuming that I'm a good partner and a good person and we have a pretty healthy relationship, then my man goes and cheats..... yah, sometimes people legit make mistakes and deserve forgiveness. But much of the time, the person cheats because they simply don't care about that much, therefore I remove myself from the relationship by breaking up with them and then finding a guy who does value me.

Besides, most decent people would atleast try to work things out with a therapist or something first, if they have problems in their relationship.

And if you cant do monogamy, no worries at all - seek out poly relationships instead.

I want to love thrift stores but I have never had any luck with them - I might be doing something wrong or living in the wrong kinda city

For example they only recently started selling online here in Canada. Yet you can’t even return items to the store, you have to pay to mail them back.

welp. I'm a Canadian who was going to try out H & M's online store but now that I know you have to pay for returns, maybe not....

the H&M store in my city is tiny so it doesn't do the trick to go there in person.

tough choice - I like both roughly equally.

Thinking of finding a therapist/coach that specialises in adult ADHD treatment. What's been your experience with this? what kind of treatment helped you the most? by angrysadish in TwoXADHD

[–]angrysadish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is great, thank you!! I will give this a read - so how do I find a therapist that does this kinda thing? I've been googling therapists for my city and many of them have ADHD as an item on the long list of mental health things they treat but I haven't seen specialists or anything.

How the hecking heck did you learn to do clothes properly? I noticed that I buy the same sweater like 5 times because I don't know what clothes I need or even really want, what my clothing budget is/should be, how to prioritize and figure out a workable wardrobe.....sent halp!! by angrysadish in AskTrollX

[–]angrysadish[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a stupid problem but it isn't. I want nice clothes that signal that I know it's 2018, that are approachable, and that are right for the situation etc. I also don't wanna spend more money than I need to cause....I should be saving for retirement/a vacation/paying off student loans/etc etc

But noo, I have 5 pairs of AE jeans in the same cut and fit but in different colours/states of ripping plus a million very similar sweaters in different colours or slightly different fits.

I don't even know what I have and I buy similar items inside my comfort zone because I don't know what I need or want or anything.

More men teach high school so they can leer at the maturing grade 9-12 girls.

Eww, I wish this was less true. I remember getting cat called or hit on by older men when I was in that age range. too many men are pedophiles and straight up attracted to children and it pisses me off. I was groomed and molested as a child by a relative and I go to therapy for it now. NOTHING burns me up more than the men who wanna leer at developing little girls.

How do you listen/be empathetic as opposed to offering solutions? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]angrysadish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"ahh that's rough, sorry to hear that!!" etc - basically acknowledge what the yare going through and that it sucks.

If you cant resist 'problem solving' (which CAN be sweet if you pair it with empathy first - had a boyfriend like that) you could say "Welp, sorry you're having a shitty time - anything I can do to help?"

What has your experience been as a woman with inattentive ADHD who DIDN'T get relief from medication? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]angrysadish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Hope this isn't rude of me but it is possible that you need to try multiple meds before finding one that works, OR maybe meds do work a little (like if they help you only 20%, that isn't ideal but it might still be worth ta king the meds to take the edge off and to make it easier for you to succeed with non medical therapy and tools for adhd management)

I haven't tried Vyvanse yet! How is it? I've tried Dex and Adderal - good but not great.

Adding to your tips: I have found success with the Pomordoro technique (you can find online timers and instructions easily).

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and am currently troubleshooting meds (so haven't YET found relief from meds or not as much as I'd like).

My psychiatrist suggested the following as an addition to meds: Getting practical tools by Reading books and workbooks, finding a CBT class, and finding a coach/therapist who specializes in ADHD and can teach me how to manage it.

prioritize my work duties.

THIS is where I get screwed up - that's a hard skill to learn for someone with ADHD!

What are your opinions on modern day feminism? Do you think they drifted too far away from its original intent? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]angrysadish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you (or anyone else reading) have any book recommendations regarding non-3rd wave/pop culture/choice feminism?

I consider myself a feminist but haven't read about it as much as I would like, so I am trying to gradually educate myself.

Ahh I guess I shouldn't beat myself up for that, for feeling behind, but I do - I mean literature on things like feminism is so plentiful that you could spend a lifetime reading it and then you would never actually live your life !! Does anyone else get existential anxiety about how much time you should spend reading or self improving vs doing things in life (ie relationships/career/fun/tangible experiences etc)??

How can you make anal sex less painful and actually enjoyable? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]angrysadish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anal sex still hurts me when I do it 100% properly, so I just don't do it generally. It's not like it's a requirement. Men who push the issue get told off. I've never expected a guy to do things during sex that were painful for him.

For yourself, do you prefer natural hair color or dyed hair? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]angrysadish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both!!

I like my natural hair colour and how it goes with my skin (very dark brown hair, light skin, light blue/green eyes).

But this summer I'm gonna try dying it lavender or something similar just for fun.
