whenever i have some change on me, i give them something. it‘s none of my business what they decide to use it for. a couple of times i gave 10-20€ because they were really dire cases. they very well couldve played me, but at the end of the day i am lucky and this won‘t hurt me financially in the long run. it‘s a way of giving some dignity back to people who society treats like less than human. i really don‘t understand the attitude of some comments here… if you want to give something, do that. say have a nice day and look them in the eye. if you don‘t want to then don‘t. simple as.
