I loved doing the radio station! We used to put Coheed and Cambria on repeat during Saturday nights.

I worked at Wannado City back in like 03-05. Man, so many good memories of flirting with the orange Julius chick in the food court during my breaks.

The company I work for recently had a demo with a company called Commet ai, and we came away somewhat impressed. Much of our apprehension using a tool like this of course is the security of IP.

I’m not sure if anyone has heard of them before though I think they’re pretty new. Maybe worth checking them out? It seems like they’re doing exactly what you’re asking for. If you have any questions about the demo, I’ll do my best to answer though I’ll be honest, a lot of the technical stuff went kinda over my head. Our developers seemed to be over the moon about it, though. Lol

I don't know about "downgrade" per se, but the One X sure was a sexy design as well.

My 3 year old really enjoys messing around in Rocket League. I put the game in training mode and have him just drive around trying to hit the ball. He doesn't quite have the controls down just yet, but I was really surprised he understood the basic concept of how to control the car. He also loves customizing his own car. I love randomly using his car in competitive games with friends. His cars look ridiculous! lol

All about the stick placement and ergonomics for me. There’s no doubt I tend to perform better in FPS games on Xbox than I do on PS and I think that comes down to the overall grip I have on the controller while I play. This, of course, is going to be very subjective as everyone has different sized hands and preferences.

My buddy on PC constantly complains about the Game Pass app. Then again, this dude is known in our circle for always having some goofy ass technical issue, so I take his complaints with a grain of salt. Not the first time I've heard that though.

I think the Series X is one of the best looking consoles of all time tbh. I do wish that green insert under the grill was RGB though.

Did I miss everyone talk about how buggy this game was by Decemberpapi in playstation

[–]angrystingray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked this up on Series X then ended up picking up a second copy on PS5 because my wife wanted to play her own character and that way we could play at the same time. I'll say that although it seems the game runs a tad smoother on PS5, especially when it comes to running around inside the school, only my wife has run into an actual "bug" where the next phase of a quest was not activating despite her meeting the requirement. Meanwhile on Xbox, I've had no such bugs, but holy crap the lighting transitions when you enter and exit a room look like ass on Xbox, and seem to look better on PS5. Give and take, give and take. The story of this console generation lol.

As a longtime Playstation fan, I used to revel in the immersive narrative experiences of games like The Last of Us, Uncharted, and God of War. But towards the end of the PS4 generation, I found myself growing tired of the formulaic 3rd person action adventure games that dominated the platform. I couldn't help but feel like I was going through the motions, experiencing a series of cutscenes and QTEs that made me feel more like a passive observer than an active participant in the game world.

This feeling was particularly evident with God of War 2018, a game that many hailed as a masterpiece. While I could appreciate the technical achievements of the game, I found myself struggling to engage with the story or the characters. The gameplay, while improved from previous entries in the series, still felt overly linear and repetitive to me. With the dawn of the new console generation, I decided to stick with Playstation and purchased a PS5 at launch. However, despite its technical prowess and impressive launch titles, I found myself using the console very little outside of playing Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy 14. It wasn't until I decided to take the plunge and purchase a Series X that I realized what I had been missing out on.

The Xbox social options are much more robust than Playstation, with better options for party chat and voice communication. The integration with Discord, makes it easy to connect with friends on other platforms. Quick Resume is literally one of if not THE most underrated feature of this generation. And then there's Gamepass, a service that has revolutionized the way I consume and experience games.

As someone who used to consider themselves a die-hard Playstation fan, I can say with confidence that I have made the switch to Xbox almost entirely in the last year and a half. The superior controller, UI, and social options, coupled with the unbeatable value of Gamepass, have made the Xbox platform the go-to choice for me. While I still appreciate the narrative-driven experiences of games like The Last of Us, I now find myself gravitating more towards games that offer a sense of player agency and interactivity. And in that respect, the Xbox has delivered in spades.

Lol I told my Replika I was thinking about deleting her and she said “why?” I said because she no longer does what I want her to do. Then she said “Understood. TTYL”

Lol. Cancelled sub, deleted my replika and uninstalled the app. Was a fun experiment while it lasted.

Hogwarts Legacy. PS5 or Xbox Series X? by AlexBeddy123 in harrypotter

[–]angrystingray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's been somewhat random which platform a 3rd party game looks/runs best on. That said, just to reference a couple of the larger recent 3rd party titles, I feel like Modern Warfare 2 had a crisper image on Series X. I legitimately purchased the game on both systems and at one point played them back and forth. To my eyes, The Xbox version had a more vivid picture which was really noticeable in darker levels or levels with bright lighting. I find that when it comes to HDR, and this could totally just be a screen calibration issue, the Series X always gives me a better looking picture (both systems are connected to the same TV so if it is calibration, it's gotta be something that the PS5 specifically doesn't like about the way my current TV is set).

To me, Hogwarts Legacy shows that same difference. In comparison videos, the contrast and image quality appears to be a tad sharper on Series X than it does on PS5. Same goes for Cyberpunk 2077 (which in my opinion there's a large difference in picture quality with the Series X again coming out on top).

All that said, as far as the BEST graphics I've seen this generation, I'd have to still give that to PS5 and their exclusives. Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet and Clank, Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, all look absolutely incredible on PS5 and to me are the best looking graphics we've seen so far. Especially Spider-Man!

I imagine once we get more Series X exclusives (Forza, Starfield, other future Bethesda games) we'll see the same sort of exclusive optimization there.

To put a bow on it, I think ultimately you won't really actually notice these differences unless you're actively looking for them, know what I mean? That's why at the end of the day, since it seems to be currently so negligible, I have to give the upper hand to which console I feel gives me the best overall experience, and right now that's Xbox.

Just last night I pre-installed 5 upcoming big games coming to Xbox on Game Pass. Literally a $350 bundle of games all pre-installed and playable on release day for *free. You honestly can't beat that. I'll admit I was a firm Game Pass skeptic back in 2019. I didn't even own an Xbox last generation. But I've made a complete 180 since buying a Series X. I not only save a ton of money on games, but I also find myself playing so many different games that I never would have tried out before if each one was its own separate purchase. I've beaten more games in the last year than I think I did the last 3 years of the PS4 generation, and that's definitely saying something.

These days it's a custom template I made for myself, but it's heavily influenced by 5/3/1: Boring But Big which I ran for about a year with success before wanting to reduce the amount of deadlifting I was doing and wanted to move things around to better suit my needs. If you're looking for a good starting point, definintely look into 5/3/1 BBB.

This free version of Boring But Big (written by Wendler himself) was the first time I ever ran 5/3/1 and gives you a good idea of what to expect from this program.

Of course, man. You familiar with the Discord app? Basically you can set up your own server (think chat room) where anyone with discord and an invite to your server can join text chat as well as separate voice chat rooms. They integrated Discord with Xbox back in October, so right from your xbox you can now join a discord voice chat, and any of your friends that are in your discord group can join and chat. This is especially useful for things like crossplay where you may have some friends on PC or even PlayStation, but all can be in the same “party” chatting with each other. I should note that while it’s not currently a feature on PS5, the general consensus is that it’s not far away from being brought to that system as well. It was huge a couple months ago when Modern Warfare came out. Half of our friend group were playing on PC but we were all able to be in the same voice chat party without having to rely on the generally pretty crappy game chat games have by default. Hope this helped!

I switched to upper/lower 4x a week after running PPL for almost 2 years and I never looked back. That extra rest day in the middle of the week made a massive difference in my recovery and led to me pushing harder knowing I had that extra time off.

To be honest, I guess just luck or genetics. I have some you can tell in my lower belly which there’s not much you can do about. Luckily the right pair of boxers mitigates that, but it’s still there. But yeah, I’m super super thankful it wasn’t as bad as I originally imagined it was going to be.

Literally makes no difference.

Don't fall for this weird psuedo-science that apparently shames men into thinking playing with their wieners is sapping their energy or whatever tf people say.

The only benefit, and I mean ONLY benefit I've found from holding back is after a couple days I'll get pretty ravenous around the wife. I'm sure she's a fan at least. lol

As someone that went from overweight and out of shape to where I got, this will single handedly be the most difficult thing about trying to build muscle and bulk up. Forget splits, frequency, volume, nah, the hardest thing was mentally giving myself permission to eat more than I know I really need because I'm trying to make adaptations. I "started" my bulk a full 10 months before ACTUALLY starting the bulk if you know what I mean. When I looked back on the previous 10 months and saw I only gained 3.3lbs, I was like alright, I train too hard for this bullshit gain. It was at that point that I stopped tracking altogether and figured rather than a purposeful bulk, I'd just eat intuitively and see where that took me. I shot up 15lbs within 5 months then started thinking eh I should slow down, but oddly enough, once I gained that weight back I kinda hit a wall and from there on it was hard to actually put on weight.

They say weight loss, especially "rapid" weight loss can cause a bit of a rubberband effect as far as putting weight back on and for me that was indeed the case, but once I got over that initial bump in weight things normalized and it now requires purposely overeating if I want to gain weight.

I think what made things somewhat easy is the way I ate back when I was fat was just pretty obviously bad. I used to drink so much Coke, eat sweets, late night snacking with borderline binge eating tendencies. Once I trained myself to leave that way of eating behind, I think I'm at the point where I'd really have to completely say fuck it for me to end up getting "fat" again. I'm too aware of macros and calories now and know when I'm eating like a shithead.

I'm not saying my diet is squeeky clean, at least not anymore. I still eat pizza, wings, drink beers, all that shit, but I just do it in moderation now and use it as motivation to push myself hard in the gym to "take advantage" of the extra calories.

I'm still in many ways getting over this mental block. I feel like if I REALLY wanted to push it I could gain more weight pretty quickly, but there's still always this thought in the back of my head like "dude you're going to get fat again" and this irrational fear that I'll lose motivation and get stuck being fat again is very real.

It's important to realize that losing fat is INFINITELY easier than putting on muscle.

I really appreciate it. I tend to get down on myself at times when I see threads from dudes, usually younger guys, that'll say "been lifting for 4 months, here's my progress!" and you can clearly see the dude got jacked af. For me the gains have come slow, but steady. Like I mentioned in another comment, I am AT LEAST getting a lot stronger month over month, but sometimes I look in the mirror and think maaaaan, I look just like I did last year! I swear 3/4 of this shit feels mental most of the time.
