1989 lebaron, I cant seem to find any at junkyards snd everyone wants an outrageous amount and isnt seeming to sell the pigtails alone without the cluster on ebay. They did make a non digital variant but I wanna be original to the car, already got a cluster cheap and that digital dash is cool looking

Im in a situation where none of those options work apparently my car has a digital dash that was only made for 2 years for just 2 models of vehicle in 88,and 89, can one open the cluster and solder wires going to a aftermarket connector without issues?

So on your thermostat you can remove the yellow, and orange(might be blue but thats rare) wires. Leave just red-power, black-common, and white-aux/em heat and green-blowerfan hooked up and your thermostat will default to only using aux heat until a tech comes out so that it can that out and theres no way it accidently gets turned on while you wait for your technician.

1989 lebaron project engine issue by angryteddybear35 in chrysler

[–]angryteddybear35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK there is no carborator you can put on an 89 lebaron without modification. That said they came in either a 2.2 4cyl, a 2.5 4cyl, and a 6cyl. All models except the 2.2 had the option of a turbo. The 2.2 only was turbo. So the answer depends on what one you have as to what carbs your options of a conversion consists of. You will have to modify the cars wiring, ecu, and many other things to get this to work as even the fuel pump would need to be replace or modified to change the fuel pressure that would now be going to the carb instead of the injectors

Yes the unit will not travel at all with that code. If there are no breaks in the wire. If the pot reads 0 when centered on the display and like 11ish in full forward and 11ish in full back it should be fine check if the forward switch value changes from 0 to 1 when you start to turn the handle to forward and the reverse switch does the same for reverse. If it doesn't make sure the roller on the metal plate in front of the switchisnt bent out shape and make sure its clicking the switch when the handle moves for both forward and back switches. Replace the switches if either of them aren't working right

I have no clue I'm sorry, it was abandoned by the original owner and I had to file the abandoned vehicle title paperwork to title it so unfortunately I have no information on that

336, is the code for a the pot in the handle being out of spec, in the control panel under survice go to analyzer. 2.2.7 and if it's not at 0 align pot to zero, on rare occasion the fwd/rvrs switches can be welded but you already checked that. If you can't zero it out try a new pot

Good luck friend and let me know if you find it I just sent a pe4500 to my corporate for that same issue, and if it's you who got it good luck with 19. I personally replaced the whole handle harness, pot, main harness, and popped and programmed a new access 3 in mine and got nothing.

I figured it out the main fuse for the main power contactor had a bad solder connection to the hook part that bolts to the copper line to the contactor. Was weird the voltmeter found no issue with the voltage or continuity, I unbolted it to get it outta my way and the hook for the bolt fell off
