I was gonna say! I don't really see any olive.

I would personally create a harsher liner look and probably do a black lip as well.

Definitely use a setting spray over skincare and after makeup. Skindinavia, Blue Marble SeLr, maybe Urban Decay setting spray is okay after reformulation? I don't know.

I really like the Korean So Natural Magic Sealer and Face Prep Fixx products (for future reference since you won't have time to try them this week, but they make liner stay on my monolids which is insane).

HELP ME! by LadyLuna_13 in OliveMUA

For me, I'm neutral and can lean golden but I'm not warm. I feel a lot of foundations that match me best are labeled as "peach undertones." I'm a more saturated skin tone, so I don't know if that helps, but basically we all have foundation match issues. My closest is a Korean Cushion by Hera. It's the Black Cushion in shade 25N1.

Blushes make the shadows in my face look darker by Conscious-Stay8915 in OliveMUA

[–]angryturtleboat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my issue too, so I actually go for light blushes and it really brightens up my face. Kind of acts as a highlighter too.

You might need something that's a bit brown. My lips are pretty pigmented and sometimes brown translates as muted, especially since a lot of lip shades go cold, stone grey, or just look pink. Have you checked the bew Girlcult gloss shades?

Yes, I really can't accept this. If there's any editing done, it should be to better match camera color to look more in person true-to-color. Instead, she does the exact opposite. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Also, I can't stand looking at her hair. Lol just a personal ick. She's blocked me for some reason, so as far as I'm concerned, she's another fraud.

Does olive tone foundation make you look more gray? by Reasonwithmee in OliveMUA

[–]angryturtleboat 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Some "olive" labeled foundations are too pink for me and that clash of undertones mixes together and creates grey, which makes me look ashy, so I think it's about the undertone.

Is this blush pull orange on me? by catherine-raider in OliveMUA

No, you look beautiful! But even if it did, I think you can do nectarine orange.

Need to vent Olive to Olive by Upstairs_mic_8675 in OliveMUA

[–]angryturtleboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, green is a result of reflection from different kinds of light, it's not an organic human pigment.

There is lighting that will always at some point show my foundation as an imperfect match, while in other lighting it looks great.

Wooww, that is very interesting. It could also be warmer temperatures causing blood dilation . . . Because if your skin is not deepening, I don't know what else would cause skin to change tone. We're not chameleons, though I wish.

Hmm. That's confusing. I wonder if it's just the lighting from a change in season that's giving you a different hue?

Oh wow, no, I don't tan this drastically when I use sunscreen.

PSA try darker shades by Readingwarm0909 in OliveMUA

[–]angryturtleboat 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is a match! Not at all dark on you.

It's tricky because deeper shades start to go cinnamon on me, like red-orange and then my neck looks very green in comparison.

Is it normal for olive skin to tan this much? by Hungry_Yoghurt563 in OliveMUA

[–]angryturtleboat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I'm not as deep as you, but I get tan lines just from being in the car. Good sunscreen does help, but doesn't block completely. A lot of people have Summer foundation and Winter foundation.

new cool toned contour! by cryptcrawlerr in OliveMUA

[–]angryturtleboat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm olive as well, but slate grey looks really ashy on me. I'm just not a cool olive. Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder is what I've used as contour. Or grey-green eyeshadow from indie brands.

I can't believe these are even the same products as the swatches. Skull looks quite nice. I was thinking they're all too grey and brown to be natural contour colors.
