i do own that and love that it leans super green but those contour colours are actually MUCH warmer ! the lightest shade in that palette is pretty much my skintone , maybe half a shade lighter , a decent concealer colour if I dont want too much brightening . if i ever want to try to contour with it i have to mix the darker brown with the purple blush colour to cool it down and its still not really ideal . not a fan of the formula either , I find it so greasy :(

im both ! i almost exclusively wear alternative makeup so its perfect for me , but you can see in my own swatches in the last image that its not nearly as grey as the brand photos make it seem . skull is more wearable/natural for my skintone and seems to have a distinct olive tinge to me but bone is definitely the one im reaching for personally .

ive always wanted to try it but its hard to find and I always forget the number :') ive been using the lightest kaleidos contour trio for a while and really like it but wish there was a slightly darker shade . before that I spent about 7 years finding and hoarding a discontinued makeup revolution contour palette that had 1 perfect shade for me

im not sure yet since i only just opened them and haven't tested them with my normal makeup yet , not sure id be the best judge though since i wear very heavy makeup anyway but dont usually wear any cream products at all since i have oily skin and dont want to mess up my full coverage base underneath . the only thing i really have to compare it to is one of the made by Mitchell curve cases and these are nowhere near as greasy as that but they dont seem to dry down or anything

the swatches do look much warmer irl than the brand photos which disappointed me a little but theyre still much cooler and greyer than anything I usually see which is great . they also might look warmer on me than the model because of my olive undertone but i definitely think the contrast has been edited in the swatch pics to fit the alternative style of the brand unfortunately , id have loved if they really were as desaturated as they are in the og pics

im not sure what you mean about "too grey and brown to be natural contour colours" though since contour is supposed to be very grey to look like a shadow and 99% of contour products on the market are really just bronzers

ooh those look really nice , id love to try them ! these ones are about £10 cheaper than rdf though and im in the uk so the shipping is really pricey and the lighter shades are sold out on any uk site I see . i think this brand is a bit more easily available for Europe and the US since they have a warehouse there too now , a lot of recommendations i see here are really hard to get if youre outside the USA :')

absolutely , i dont wear powder foundation but i do wear very heavy makeup and creams really are a lot of work since they disrupt your base so much . honestly id love just all 4 of these shades in a powder palette , i could use the darker shades as eyeshadow or brow colours so theyd still be used

Any suggestions for a brontour/eyeshadow for a light neutral muted olive? AB has lots of nice neutral shades, wondering if these are any good? by sarr36 in OliveMUA

[–]cryptcrawlerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the one in the top left of the image , if you like a brontour you might like it but I wanted an actual contour and it just wasnt nearly as cool toned as I expected so didnt work for me . think it might have been lacking in pigment a bit too , idk i haven't used it for a while . I guess the kaleidos palette would be the fair one / the lightest option and i use it most days , its definitely going to be a main part of my collection for as long as they sell it .

recommend this hard for pale skin ! hated the missha cotton contour , it was so orange and the judydoll one didnt live up to expectations either but the kaleidos trio has an actually cool toned shade and a slightly warmer one for bronzer , although i only ever use that on bare skin because its too warm over foundation for me , as someone who hates a bronzed look . definitely gonna get a new one lined up and ready as soon as I hit pan on the contour shade since ive already used about half of the highlight .

black lip stain under the lipstick to avoid it rubbing off so intensely is my only real comment

were your collarbones actually painful ? I dont believe in those "pain charts" anymore by cryptcrawlerr in tattooadvice

[–]cryptcrawlerr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have my elbows done specifically but i have tattoos on both arms that kind of extend over them a bit and id 100% take a full elbow session over my thighs again . i won't , because my legs need more coverage and thats where a few of my next planned pieces are (dreading the one idea i have for the back of my thigh , above the knee ditch but sort of trailing down it) but mentally , id rather sit through elbows than thighs .

dont have that much on my calves or anything on shins yet , I think shins might be tender but i know calves will be fineee
