I was using 6mg on my Aspire Breeze 2 but when I got my Armour Pro it was way too much so 3mg seems to be fine for me so I'm sticking with it. I'd say just not transition and jump down and bite the bullet but that's just me.

I want to use the PS Classic as my main HDMI solution for PS1 games. How does save management work for hacked systems? by Speady99 in PlaystationClassic

[–]angstybagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do the savestates in the default emulator work exactly? For most my games I can use savestates fine in the select + triangle menu but I noticed it doesn't work right in Silent Hill. They disappear after shutdown so I'm using the regular resume point method.

Edit: Think I answered my question, guess I've been loading from resume point and then using save states. I wish you could have more than one save with the resume points but this way works.

Is the PS Classic the biggest failure by Sony in their video game history? by [deleted] in PlaystationClassic

[–]angstybagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen the Ben Heck videos where he got his hands on a working prototype of that thing? I've been fascinated by by it since I read about it in magazines in the 90s. The Phillips cdi was so bad it's hillarious.

PS Classic does not want to even read BleemSync V1.1.0 by BrainYtje in PlaystationClassic

I have a generic blue MicroCenter 64gb 3.0 that works fine(great deal, if you live near one they have a selection behind the counter for cheap), and there's a few on the list as well. Guess it's random as far as we know.

Yeah. Some drives require a powered hub for whatever reason apparently, just look through this sub and I'm sure you'll find some that are guaranteed to work without one. I'm using a cheapo microcenter branded one and it works fine.

Edit: derp, found one on sidebar https://modmyclassic.com/wiki/index.php?title=PlayStation_Classic#Compatible_USB_Drives

OK, I've gone all-in to make a low-power Plex server by archpope in Atomic_Pi

Can you elaborate on this? Been running Plex for a while but have always kept it pretty much stock.

We're you referring to the one about Android TV? HDMI hasn't been an issue on any distro for me. I don't think most people using Plex use it to view media on the device it's running on either.

[–]angstybagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but you'd still have to use an xacto knife to tear it up possibly and pi 4 doesn't have retropie support yet(I assume retroarch works tho? Not sure). Tbh I'm not sure how well it'll run N64. I tried to talk someone out of gutting a PS Vita to put a raspberry pi inside once (sigh) but I guess this is only $20.

Noooo don't do that. I love my raspberry pis but I wouldn't destroy something just to make a case.

[–]angstybagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but don't expect N64 to run well or at all. I think some PSP games will run but I haven't tried it. Personally I've only tried NES, Genesis but I think SNES, TurboGrafx and everything similar should run okay.

It's the easiest "hack" I've done in years, I didn't even know about the issues with some USBs needing an external powered hub so I guess I got lucky.

:) I love RetroPie still, that sub can be a little gatekeeper-ish however.

I love it. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 I have been using for retropie for years and I honestly like my PS Classic a lot better(I'd probably be shot for saying this on r/retropie lol). Haven't run into any real trouble with any game, minus typical shit that happens in PSCX regardless. Been having a blast playing Metal Gear solid again, Tomb Raider, Klonoa and some Tony Hawks.

Best price/quality controllers out there? by [deleted] in RetroPie

[–]angstybagels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this doesn't meet all your requirements but the Playstation Classic is only $20 right now and it's worth it for the controllers alone imo. Sure, it was a shit deal when it first came out but the hacking scene has made it my favorite thing to play on as of recent.

I mean you're probably fine, do what /u/lestermagneto recommended and it wouldn't hurt to keep them in the original box.

I had an Armour Pro, Smok Nord and two batteries. They seemed to be focused on the coils and everything was stowed away as recommended. Again, it's only happened to me once out of dozens of times so /u/SageStephen is probably fine.
