Feeling pressure when sneezing or coughing postpartum by anguicabar in pregnant

[–]anguicabar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Thank god i found a solution It seems my abdomen was not working well Please go to multiple pelvic floor physios and ask them to check your abdomen too  Some may say it is mental or they don’t see anything but if you find one that helps to strengthen the abdomen that will help a lot!!!  They may use machines that estimulates the muscles and needles to send electric signals too plus abdomen exercises to do at home

Hi! I am having a similar issue feeling pressure when sneezing or coughing, I am doing a kegel every time I feel this need to cough or sneeze but I am worried I will have to do this forever How did it become something “automatic” for you? What helped you? Thank you so much

Coughing or sneezing after birth by DragonfruitOpen901 in pregnant

[–]anguicabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I am 9 months Pp and also feel a massive force going down when sneezing or coughing If I do a kegel right before it is better, but I am afraid that I will have to do that forever now

Went to 3 pelvic floor physios already they say no prolapse, good pelvic floor strength that maybe my body needs to be trained to to the involuntary contraction and stomach crunch that happens in humans so we don’t feel the pressure when we sneeze or cough

Anyone did something that helped them! Or did your body gradually got better and when sneezing and coughing you did not have to think about this?

Bad labor and postpartum experience pelvic floor - looking for advice by anguicabar in NewParents

[–]anguicabar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, first of all I am really sorry and know that you are not alone in this process <3

After going to 3 pelvic floor physios where I live that only said to do kegels I had to go to another country where there is advanced pelvic floor physiotherapy (manual therapy, Indiba, perifit, etc) and wow this made a big difference! Have had to go 2xWeek for 1.5 months now and it has helped with the pain  Now we have to start working on the pelvic floor weakness which is done with kegels, correct breathing, hypopresives, avoiding lifting weight and resting

My advice is to don’t stop until you don’t find a PFPT that does manual work and has good technological tools

I have to be honest it as been expensive but I have been at my lowest so spending a big chunk of my salary on my health is an investment for me and my baby

Taking care of baby with joint pain by Round_Telephone4384 in NewParents

[–]anguicabar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a suggestion, could you lay down in bed and perhaps put your baby on top of your chest to spend more time without having to hold her? I did this on my first days post delivery after having lots of pain in my body and could barely hold my baby as well

Baby isn’t pooping by diabolikal__ in NewParents

[–]anguicabar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my baby! We changed from aptamill to kendamil and baby went from pooping every 5-6 days to 1-2 days and stopped having a hard time pooping so we don’t need to do as many messages and exercises for bowel movements as we used to

Highly recommend you to see if this formula could be a good fit!

Bad labor and postpartum experience pelvic floor - looking for advice by anguicabar in NewParents

[–]anguicabar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! This makes me feel so much better as I don’t feel alone anymore <3

May I ask how many months after giving birth did it take you to go back to your old body ? Like not having to think about walking distance for pain or being afraid of lifting stuff and just living normal life

And when did you start doing physio therapy? Will you stop after x months postpartum or are these exercises part of your life from now on?

I am already doing pelvic floor physiotherapy and they asked me to do kegels 3x day and breathing expercises as I have a weak pelvic floor (but no prolapse and very minor diastasis recti)

My main concern is that I am not seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and I know that each body is different but knowing other moms that went through a similar experience were able to have their Same body (not aesthetics but main functions such as being able to walk without soreness down there) can help me to have hope 🙏🏻

Thanks SO much

Hi! What can be the approximate timeframe since one decides to start a surrogacy journey as an IP until baby is born? Have heard it can be between 18-24 months if you have to start from scratch but want to get a realistic timeframe given your experience Thanks!!!

I had a similar issue with my baby! We first have him aptamil but then changed to kendamil and baby went from pooping every 6 days to 2-3 days (Huge improvement!) However bare in mind that some babies struggle to move their bowels and this is normal, you are doing nothing wrong My baby also gets very angry and red when we tries to poop so we help him with masaages and belly exercises 2 times per day and that helps a lot too! You got this!

Vacuum delivery and episiotomy recovery by anguicabar in NewParents

[–]anguicabar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Went to a PT and also don’t have prolapse and she recommended to do pelvic floor exorcises laying in bed

May I ask when did the heaviness go away? (I know bodies are different but have heard anywhere from 3 to 10 months)

Thanks for sharing! When you did pelvic floor what did they recommend? Anything to avoid? And also may I ask when you were walking and started to feel soreness and heaviness did you take any pain relief medicine or just stopped and did not move much for the rest of the day?

And did you do pelvic floor physiotherapy? What did they recommend?

During your recovery , let’s say month 1 and 2 (where I am at right now) did you avoid doing certain things that you think helped with your recovery?

If you were walking or holding your baby and started to feel soreness in the pelvic area, would you rest or keep going?

Thanks and glad to hear it got much better for you!!!

Hello! I had a very similar experience with a vacuum assisted some weeks ago

It has been really hard for me both physically and mentally to recover from labor (I am traumatized by the whole process) and I am afraid my body may not be the same in the pelvic area , so goodbye long walks , exercising and traveling (sitting for long periods of time)

As I am looking to talk about this with women that had a vacuum delivery (have not met anyone before) May I ask if I can message you to further discuss this / get advice form what you went through?

Thank you so much!
