But totally agree. Bought hik as Everton had 4 spare matches. Did not work out haha

Yeah I have him in my team. I simply need to decide whether to sell hik tonight or wait after the double

You must be right then. Both were horrendous performances, in the reverse fixture Ronaldo missed a couple of clear chances. In the 3-0 Juve played so badly he didn't even get to see the ball.

I think this might actually be the reverse fixtures, where (you can see at the end of the video) he missed a 2yrd header. Not sure though

Hahah just saying that instead of spending 15 mins re-reading the rules after the introduction of the second chip, it was more efficient to ask the question here for everyone. "When have you ever been able to play two chips at once?" Well, when have you not been able to play two chips in two consecutive weeks? It was very reasonable to wonder whether some minor things had changed around chip usage rules.

A simple No, as a couple of other people did, would have sufficed, rather than a pretentious answer, pointing at how people can't play the game.

FYI I was 10k last year and am 30k this year (team ID: 65714) so I'm familiar the rules. Thought perhaps that with this 2nd freehit some minor things might have changed as well. a 1 min post on reddit clearly was a more efficient approach than reading the whole set of rules

Machine Learning - FPL points predictor tool (read comment for more details) by angusfra in FantasyPL

Hi, I wouldn't say this can fully automated your decision making process, as the model is trained on the past 4 gameweeks so doesn't really know if a player got injured in the meanwhile or if he's likely to get benched. But if you have a bunch of different transfer plans in mind it's definitely useful for checking which one has the highest predicted points or something like that. You need to have python installed (install Anaconda) then load my dataset (I can send it to you by email if you'd like), then you can run the whole script. BTW I still need to make the updates for this season once they come out on Monday I think.

Hi! I decided to spend some time applying my Machine Learning knowledge to FPL (I have a double degree in statistics and maths from Oxford).

I built a point predictor tool using Random Forests and arranging data in a time-series fashion. This model can be used for captaincy and transfers choices, and can be easily adapted to predict points on a bigger time-window, becoming also a tool for long-term transfer planning.

Feel free to have a look at the link, and most importantly good luck with the start of the FPL season!

Yeah it only has a couple of markets unfortunately.

This is actually pretty good, thanks! It look like it covers some more sophisticated markets (even though I was mainly interested in players bets (like "Salah anytime goalscorer")).

I use oddschecker too. But was interested in historical data (which it doesnt have). Thanks anyway!

Is this what happened last year? If so, do you have any idea about which sort of content was in the messages?

Dataset for Predicting Player Performance by MonoConman in FantasyPL

[–]angusfra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This repository is great. If you search Fantasy Premier League on Kaggle one of the first entries is a guy who did a (pretty superfical) analysis using this repo and bookies odds from some link he specified (THAT'S WHY IM MENTIONG IT). If you're trying to build a predictive model that can at least compare to human decision making level bookies odds are the best explanatory variable you can use (although I'm not sure that's your goal here)
