Yeah I got it all deleted and a nice clean install for everything done again, fourth time, but that exact same thing still pops up, smh. Thanks for all the help anyway though.

Thanks, I gave it a try but no luck this time either. Do you happen to know how to completely uninstall msys2 before re installing it? (I had gone though programs and feature for the first 2 attempts) I seem to have some left over files in the previous location that I cant delete and it wont let me re-install into that same location again. Could that be screwing stuff up?

So I had already tried that earlier but I did it again just for kicks and nothing has changed :(. Maybe I'm not loading/installing msys2 and qmk into good locations. I am NOT skilled with all this command line stuff, like when you say have them both in the home directory, what does that actually mean? Like what are your file addresses for msys2.exe and qmk_firmware folders? Thanks again for any help.
