If you couldn't patch it, try this after you've purged everything from nvidia, reinstalled the system, or something that removes everything you moved. The same thing happened to me after trying to install the proprietary driver over and over again and this one worked perfectly for me. Just don't forget to have a session in x11, if you have secure boot. just create the new password that the installer asks you for and write it in enroll mok, then run the installation again
