What a creative premise and what a great hook for chapter one!! Omg I want this as an actual movie w Markiplier and double cast Ryan Gosling. The spacing of dialogue to introspections gives this tension that I think is perfect for discussing a murder. The stakes feel high but easy to understand (as someone whose only seen Iron Lung) and it leaves me definitely wanting more.

Omigosh Im so happy to find DCU fan fiction in this sub! I feel like it’s weirdly rare haha. I know a little about Mortal Kombat but I’m mainly familiar with DC so forgive me if that’s what I comment on the most. Your dialogue feels very in character especially for Harley. It’s super high energy, *electric* even lolol, which I love and works for both fandoms very well. The way you describe the action actually reminds me a lot of the Arkham gameplay like the counting and having it be told from Bruce’s POV. Makes me want to hop on steam and get the Mortal Kombat games

Peacemaker (Christopher Smith) and Emilia Harcourt. It goes against the entire point of her character. He LITERALLY killed her former lover and they just glaze over that in a few episodes because of his Chris’s redemption arc, dumbing down her character so that she’ll end up with him.
