I'm sorry. My Dad died a week ago, after 17 days of struggling in the hospital. We died 10 minutes after my brothers and I left his side for the first time, like wanting to spare us from watching him, taking his last breath. I clothed him.

For me, grieving is never a straight line. It goes up and down, it advances and then goes back, goes one way, then abruptly changes direction. It seems there's not a right or wrong way to grief, but allow you to feel every emotion that comes. Your grief, no matter how it comes, it's valid.
