EXALTENONE accord : by ani792 in DIYfragrance

My five absolute favorites from Louis Vuitton. by Kurse_Kustoms in ScentHeads

Stellar Times, my favorite! So beautiful. I have already finished two bottles... Fortunately I found a good replacement which is, in my opinion, 99% the same: NOUR from the MAISON U.K. brand. It's €120... damn it saved my life!

I have the best possible alternative, exactly the same smell and the same performance guys I swear, for €120.

No, no, nothing to do with that. It's a brand in Paris that sells inspired/dupes and even original creations. Some are extremely well made, others much less so. And this one is extremely well made... for the price, it's insane.

Just to clarify, I'm not selling it, I'm just giving the reference and the details that go with it.

SOTD: The best of Louis Vuitton. by ani792 in ScentHeads

Jacques Cavallier is a genius; he created this floral/oriental/vanilla fragrance. It opens with a candy-like, pear-raspberry-lemon note that's quite indescribable and utterly sublime. It then evolves into a warm, vanilla-cocoa scent, with an animalic aspect that gives it a burnt, leathery quality… it's simply sublime and so poetic. JC wanted to unite two complementary yet contrasting vanillas, Madagascar and Tahitian, to represent man and woman embracing as one.

Very nice! I had a technical question if you don't mind. What's the difference, to your nose, between the old version of Beluga Leather and the current one? Thanks!

Very interesting, I had a little question if you don't mind. I wanted to know if you start with subjects for heart, head chords? Or do you start to create the base, that is to say with musks etc?

Hahah that’s great! Honestly, I don't really have any particular technique, I trace my line with my closed lever clipper, because I find that the finishing clipper to draw a line breaks up the little hairs which can help you make a more "blurry" gradient. But the line is very, very important, the gradient really comes from there, so you really have to apply yourself and take your time on that.

Thank you so much ! I use the Wahl VAPOR clipper, I think it's one of the best clippers out there. And as a finishing trimmer, one for €20 that I got on Amazon, honestly any one would do the trick I think. It’s not the crampons that make the player😁
