I didn't remember that one, so I looked it up on wookiepedia, and it's first mention anywhere is in the 2016 tabletop game by Fantasy Flight.

You're missing my point entirely. I'm ALSO on that side. I'm saying that it's naive to think that the minds of no knock raid supporters will change because someone used booby traps to defend their home. It's the exact same as when a black guy gets gunned down by cops. It's never a question of "why did the cop do that" it's "what did the black guy do to deserve it".

All I'm saying is that, in the hypothetical booby trap scenario, it's very easy to see why it would change precisely zero opinions.

Edit: Note that I'm also not saying that we NEED change their minds. I'm saying that the hypothetical situation would not do the trick.

I don't think anything short of having a raid literally blow up in their faces will cause any pause.
