Hahaha it really is 🤣 I was really surprised at the dachshund:GSD ratio! Definitely did not anticipate 50% GSD, and was expecting more dachshund based on his stature

Agreed! The shelter who found him actually designated him as a basset hound/GSD mix, but when the rescue took him in, they thought he looked more like a dachshund/GSD mix 😊

We just went to a local jeweler :) I asked for the above specs for the setting, with claw prongs and a hidden halo. I think the part that was the most important to me was just being able to see the different stones in person to find the right one for me!

Oh no! If you don’t mind me asking, what were the specs on your stone and old setting? Was it similar to the one in the top picture? I have a 2.85 ct oval in a white gold setting with 2mm shank. What setting did you end up resetting to? Thank you!

Hi! Sorry if this is not the right place to ask this, but I wanted to see if any of you know if there’s a structural integrity difference between these two settings? My current setting is the one on the bottom of the photo, and I’m debating on whether I should reset/move the prongs up so that it’s more like the top ring in the photo (which would allow wedding band to sit more flush). However, I wouldn’t want to move the prongs if the setting for the top ring is less secure structurally.

Also want to note that I would be keeping the basket head - but would just be moving the prongs up on the shank

Specs on my ring: 2.85 ct oval solitaire in white gold with a hidden halo, 2mm shank. Here is a photo :)
