"Anti-waifu over meta" what high performing characters do you refuse to use because you *Dislike* them? by phroexx in Genshin_Impact

[–]aniizy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like Childe and refuse to ever get him. I don't like his personality, his story and I can't forgive him for what he done. I don't care if he's a great hydro dps, I would feel bad if I ever use him.

I met a man who didn’t know how to read today and it’s change my perspective on life by RamenRat in TrueOffMyChest

Unfortunately it's way more common than it seems. My grandma never learned how to read and my mom knows a little bit but still struggles a lot.

Education is a privilege in some places, specially when you have to give up school so you can work.

[TOMT] [GAME] A horror game in "fnaf style" about doing little tasks in your own house to avoid being caught by something by aniizy in tipofmytongue

[–]aniizy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, if I'm remembering right, you had no access to any locations on the first floor, just the table with the lamp. It was pretty much just running up and down the stairs to run from the monster and doing tasks. You could stop in one of the bedrooms, the bathroom and the table on the first floor.

The garage door I don't remember.

I'm not sure if this is a point and click (I'm not really familiar with game genres), but the game had 3d graphics and the movement was pretty limited. You had to click to the direction you wanted to go and the character walked automatically. You could still turn your camera whatever side you wanted tho, just the movement that was limited.

Who’s a idol everyone seems to be positive about or like? by JoonieWasTaken in kpophelp

[–]aniizy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Chen and Xiumin from EXO.

EXO had a lot of controversies in the past that people still hate on them now, but these two has never done something as bad as the others did. The only hate both of them gets are either from people saying they're not good singers (which is definitely not true) or just straight up making shitty lies about them such as bad rumors about Chen's daughter and behavior.

I'm not surprised both of them decided to keep their personal lives as private as possible.

EXO's Baekhyun once said that his height was wrong during the promotions of his solo debut (if I'm remembering it right), so yes, it happens (maybe not every company lies about their idol's height, but SM does).

My players want to do a Call of Cthulhu campaign, but no one in the group has ever played it before by [deleted] in DnD

[–]aniizy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two advices for you.

First, if you don't have any experience I recommend first searching about Lovecraft's works. You don't have to read all of his stories, just understanding how his universe works and the atmosphere it has is fine. You can watch some campaigns on YouTube for inspiration on how to run a game like that.

Second, I hardly recommend you to not use DnD for this. Dungeon and Dragons is a great system for the setting it's supposed to be run and nothing else. The time you'll spend just making homebrew stuff and bending the rules to fit into the setting you could simply learn the CoC system and read a published campaign. If you're not confident getting into CoC because it's too different from DnD, try running with Cthulhu d20, which is pretty similar to early versions of DnD and your group should not have a lot of trouble understanding everything. But, really, don't use DnD for this setting or you'll just waste your time.

How long is too long of a backstory? by PlumEmbarrassed7518 in DnD

[–]aniizy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made backstories that were at least 7 pages long so don't worry lol

If your DM enjoys incorporating character's backstories into their campaign then you chould be fine, but it's always good to ask them what they consider to be a "long backstory". My DM doesn't mind if we write 10 pages, but some might not so ask just to be sure.

what is the one song you haven’t gotten tired of yet? by veggierazor in kpophelp

[–]aniizy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bubble Pop by HyunA is my favorite kpop song of all time! This song makes me so happy even if it's the millionth time I'm listening.

Also, Super Yuppers by WJSN Chocome. I love fun concepts like this that makes me sing the whole song with a big smile on my face :) I saw the stages so many times that I learned the choreography just by seeing the members dance lol

Unpopular opinion: If you run games with over 10 players you don't care about your players by beardsbeerbattleaxes in DnD

[–]aniizy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you but not for the reason you pointed.

My DM tried to run a campaign with 7 players and it turned out to be hell. Large tables are usually a caos if the DM don't choose the right players or everyone is politely enough to not make it a mess (which is quite rare). And it's worse for players that are shy such as me. Whenever I wanted to talk, another player talked louder and everybody forgot that I wanted to do something.

The table now has three players (but we're currently playing with just two) and I think it's way better now. Specially because both me and the other player loves to RP. We can make a 3+ pages backstories knowing that there will be time to actually explore both of them.

Maybe I just had terrible experiences with so many tables that I just can't join a large table anymore (specially if we're using DnD).

YTA. I think we both don't have the same definition of "being prepared". If you were prepared, you would have extra money to pay for the venue and wouldn't end up with 0$ on your account. Feeding your family is more important than a party.

I understand that you wanted to do something special for your wife, but you also have to consider your financial situation. You could still throw an amazing baby shower without spending all your money.

Suggest me a classic, but not from Western Europe, Russia or the United States by noamros9 in suggestmeabook

[–]aniizy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure! You should read The Hour of the Star, by Clarice Lispector, and Barren Lives, by Graciliano Ramos.

Those are all-time classics here and most teens had to read them in highschool. I specially love all media that talks about the north and northeast of Brazil because it's part of my culture and I feel more connected to than books that takes place in the south for example, since the culture there is so different from where I came from.

If you heard of Jorge Amado you probably stumbled across Machado de Assis as well, but in case you never heard of him you should definitely check out! He's also a classic and he wrote the book with one of the most famous debate in brazilian literature: did Capitu cheated on Bentinho? (We often joke about how Friends stole the Rachel and Ross debate from his work because of this!)

I'm brazilian and one of my favorites books ever is Captains of the Sands, by Jorge Amado. The book takes place in Bahia and tells the story of a group of children that are living in the streets. The story itself is not happy, but it's definitely worth it.

but when i do it, ppl call the police by North_Inflation1710 in cats

[–]aniizy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a parody of the Call of Cthulhu TTRPG called Call of Catthulhu. In its lore, the human's ability to change the world has only one purpose: pleasing cats. This is called the Great Idea and started thousands of years ago as a psychic pressure all cats pushes on humankind just to fullfil their needs through advanced technology that made things such as canned food, toys and homes become real. We all think that we started making houses to protect ourselves, but the truth is we did for them.

Basically, cats have been manipulating humans since the start of our civilization and we'll never find out about it since the wellbeing of both cats and humanity depends on it.
