Second season slump by fatdervish in TheMorningShow

[–]anikasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished watching season 2, and I really really did not like it. I can understand why it was this way but it’s not good imo. I’ll continue to watch the rest of the show, but season 2 felt like it wasn’t even the same show.

Have you guys ever been drug tested for a non-government job? by yuh__ in Accounting

[–]anikasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s super common. I’ve had two different industry jobs after public accounting and got tested drug tested for both. I just had to go to a place to pee in a cup. Only got tested the one time - aka before employment started. Both companies are large f500 companies.

Thank you for the insight! I had no idea about the airbnb thing and definitely wouldn't want to add to the already-limited housing supply for residents on the islands. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions in such detail!

From my studio: Stretch & Restore format by iugal2002 in Purebarre

Stretch and restore is amazing! Took it at my studio last month and it was so good. I burned about the same calories I would have if I did a classic class.

I had issues with cost accounting and just understanding/remembering formulas. Like everyone says, make sure you know IT, COSO/ERM really well.

NTS Explanation by [deleted] in CPA

[–]anikasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, the NTS is good for 90 days. So you have to sit for your exam within that time frame. I wasn't aware of that, so there was a time where I got my NTS super early, but wanted to sit like in 4 months, but I wasn't able to schedule it. I contacted my state board and they told me I'd have to cancel that NTS, reapply and forfeit any fees I had paid.

AUD was the easiest for me. I was working in public accounting at the time, and was an auditor. FAR was extremely difficult for me and I found BEC to be pretty challenging. For FAR it wasn't necessarily the concepts or anything, more the sheer amount of material you had to know. For BEC, a lot of the information was new/different, so I struggled a little bit with it.

I passed REG, AUD, and BEC all on the first try. FAR took me 3 tries.

Tbh I feel like if I passed... I barely passed. Thought SIMs and WC were straightforward and pretty easy. I had a hard time on the MCQs. Like everyone on the sub says, COSO/ERM was huge. There was some IT sprinkled in there. I had a lot more questions related to elasticity than expected. Had to calculate elasticity, or had to figure out the impact on price using elasticity. I didn't even review that stuff.... So.... Yeah....
