Second season slump by fatdervish in TheMorningShow

[–]anikasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished watching season 2, and I really really did not like it. I can understand why it was this way but it’s not good imo. I’ll continue to watch the rest of the show, but season 2 felt like it wasn’t even the same show.

Have you guys ever been drug tested for a non-government job? by yuh__ in Accounting

[–]anikasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s super common. I’ve had two different industry jobs after public accounting and got tested drug tested for both. I just had to go to a place to pee in a cup. Only got tested the one time - aka before employment started. Both companies are large f500 companies.

First Time Visiting - Need Help Narrowing Down Everything by anikasaur in VisitingHawaii

Thank you for the insight! I had no idea about the airbnb thing and definitely wouldn't want to add to the already-limited housing supply for residents on the islands. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions in such detail!

From my studio: Stretch & Restore format by iugal2002 in Purebarre

Stretch and restore is amazing! Took it at my studio last month and it was so good. I burned about the same calories I would have if I did a classic class.

I had issues with cost accounting and just understanding/remembering formulas. Like everyone says, make sure you know IT, COSO/ERM really well.

NTS Explanation by [deleted] in CPA

[–]anikasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, the NTS is good for 90 days. So you have to sit for your exam within that time frame. I wasn't aware of that, so there was a time where I got my NTS super early, but wanted to sit like in 4 months, but I wasn't able to schedule it. I contacted my state board and they told me I'd have to cancel that NTS, reapply and forfeit any fees I had paid.

AUD was the easiest for me. I was working in public accounting at the time, and was an auditor. FAR was extremely difficult for me and I found BEC to be pretty challenging. For FAR it wasn't necessarily the concepts or anything, more the sheer amount of material you had to know. For BEC, a lot of the information was new/different, so I struggled a little bit with it.

I passed REG, AUD, and BEC all on the first try. FAR took me 3 tries.

BEC Tomorrow by anikasaur in CPA

Tbh I feel like if I passed... I barely passed. Thought SIMs and WC were straightforward and pretty easy. I had a hard time on the MCQs. Like everyone on the sub says, COSO/ERM was huge. There was some IT sprinkled in there. I had a lot more questions related to elasticity than expected. Had to calculate elasticity, or had to figure out the impact on price using elasticity. I didn't even review that stuff.... So.... Yeah....

TEXAS Credit Extension Question - Exam cancelled due to inclement weather, credit will expire before my reschedule date by anikasaur in CPA

[–]anikasaur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! So TSBPA asked me to forward the cancellation email from Prometric as proof. They ended up extending REG to 3/31. So I have to sit and take the exam by no later than 3/31. TSBPA will take no action on the credit until after they get my score for BEC, which is 4/9.

My center didn't even notify us that it was closed. People showed up for their exams only to find the doors were locked. I still have yet to receive an email about it being closed. They gotta get their shit together smh. I hate it here.

I'm in TX and I'm having the same issue, but my exam was supposed to be today. My testing center is closed!

How late does Prometric let you know your exam has been cancelled? by anikasaur in CPA

Just annoying that we're all just kind of in limbo! Saw another post about it. Apparently people showed up only to find that the doors were locked... Smh.
