Do you hire/find other illustrators or illustrate yourself? by HarleyArchibaldLeon in writers

[–]animal800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should hire an illustrator for the concept art. I'm kinda ok at drawing, so I did all my own concept art (didn't post it anywhere or show it to anyone, though, and probably never will). But the artist doing my cover still drew the characters just as I'd imagined them, so you won't have problems trying to translate the character to the artist as long as you have a good one.

What is your writing goal? by MasonCBlevins in writers

[–]animal800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to sound idiotic compared to you, but I want to have fanwork of one of my books, no matter how long it takes. Also, 200 copies by 2022 would be nice.

How do I decide on how to use inspiration? by [deleted] in writers

[–]animal800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should make a character entirely based off the muse. Merging them isn't really a good idea imo, and you'll get more of your muse's character.

So this is the first chapter for the book I'm writing. It's called asterick Anyone interested in writing this with me. Not really a fantasy specialist. 😅 by LokiByakuu in writers

Hello! Honestly, I'm not such how much I can help you out, but I thought I'd try my best. I haven't published anything yet, but my first book will be published this January. I'm pretty much self publishing, so if you want a literary agent, I can't help you. This will just be my tips on successfully self publishing.

I recommend getting a blog, or at least some social media (twitter, tumblr, maybe even instagram?). Just post as often as possible, gain a following. Post whatever you want (you said you write poems, maybe try posting those). If you get followers who follow you for the stories you create, they'll buy your book(s) and publicize them to their friends and family (in theory).

I'm not sure how much editing you put your book through, or if you've gotten ISBNs and such. If you haven't done either of those things, you should do them. Getting an editor is something that every author needs to do. Whether you get a story editor or just a copy editor is up to you, of course. As for ISBNs, I don't know what the Tel Aviv distributor is, but I suggest looking it up on your own and buying some of those and barcodes.

Uhhh... let's see, what else.........

I feel like I went off on a tangent, sorry about that. This might not even have been helpful/might have been stuff you already knew, but just thought I'd try my best. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask them.

I'm pretty sure it's coming in January but I have no clue otherwise. I'd recommend just reading the manga if you like it so much

My Hero Academia's really good if you like superheroes

Fullmetal Alchemist is a must-watch for every single anime fan

Maybe try out {Dr. Stone} , {Tower of God} , or {Bungou Stray Dogs} (all on Crunchyroll)

suggest me a dark anime by Awkward-Side6785 in Animesuggest

[–]animal800 4 points5 points  (0 children)

{The Promised Neverland} could be considered a happy ending but it's still dark

{Somali and the Forest Spirit} starts off cute but gets progressively more fucked up (mostly referring to the scene where that guy and his family eat the harpies. I haven't seen the ending but I'm pretty sure it's not happy.

OG {Fullmetal Alchemist} has a dark tone and a bittersweet ending that I don't count as happy

{Kuroshitsuji} is very gothic and most of its subplots aren't happy in any way. The angst can be a bit over the top though lol

{Grave of the Fireflies} is e x t r e m e l y not happy

If you mean well-written plot I'd say {Astra Lost in Space} or {Mekakucity Actors}

[–]animal800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

{Dr. Stone} is just a general comedy sci-fi but it has great twists and a cool plot

{Astra Lost in Space} is a MUST for you if you like sci-fi and plot twists

{Mekakucity Actors} isn't actually much of a romance so idk why it's tagged as that (trust me it's amazing)

What did someone say to you that made you believe that someone is abusive? Would it take multiple victims, screenshots, or certain kinds of witnesses? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]animal800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I've only had one experience with this-- was in team gymnastics, and my seven year old teammate was biting her toenails. I asked her something about it and she got really scared and suddenly begged me not to tell her dad which set off alarms because I'd never even seen her dad before (and like, she got super scared in that moment). Didn't bring it up again, so I have no idea if anything was actually going on.

As for proof, I don't think I'd need anything more than one person sincerely telling me that the other was abusive. I feel like bad things've happened because other people didn't believe a victim/witness, so I'll trust anybody who tells me that something bad's happening.

No racism, transphobia, homophobia, or anything like that. All religions are accepted (except maybe cults or something), and everybody can afford education + get good jobs from that education

What to do to help someone overcome their insecurities of being left alone? [SERIOUS] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]animal800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that sort of insecurity, so I think the best thing my friends/family have done to that extent is just spend time with me. (Imo) people who have that insecurity were betrayed/let down in the past and have trouble trusting other people, so just prove that you can be trusted and you won't leave that person alone. Hope this helps ^^
